Good heavens! Mercy Bird is Tobias Wells. Actually, Tobias Wells is Stanton Forbes but enough about the author. This is a short mystery in the Knute Severson series. A woman is murdered and her body is found by Knute's wife, Brenda. You will probably figure out who the culprit is early on, still it's a decent story.
