Why God is my only Best Friend: a review
As Mr. Fog explains his vision of God, you will find yourself swept up in his explanations. He first motivates as to why he believes in God. Now, in many religious books I find myself distanced from the message because I am not a believer. Here however, the message is clearly related to God, but also something purely human.
His purpose in life is to show gratitude to God, for giving him the ‘best possible way’. While I may not believe that a God creates this way for me, I do agree with his concept of showing gratitude. Getting swept up in everything that happens and rushing through life without purpose leads to unhappiness. Some may find this purpose in showing gratitude to God, others through meditation, which is a form of gratitude for life.
He is incredibly honest about his life experiences, leading to a deeper understanding of his perspective. He takes us on a journey through his emotions, and how he deals with them. While I don’t quite grasp why his thoughts towards God should be different than to other people, as God wants us to be good too, I do understand what he means by not being able to please everyone.
His manner of doing things not for immediate reward but for what he deems the ultimate reward, is his personal motivation to do good no matter the reaction. I didn’t quite understand what was meant by the paragraph ‘good intention but the wrong action is dangerous’. When we do things out of good intention, we never realise that it will have a negative effect, and I think that is what was meant here, however in my opinion the paragraph needs a slight lengthening to clarify what exactly was the conclusion. Is it that we need to do nothing that might even spark a wrong action? Because before he said sincerity was vital, so are we being sincere then? I think a few more words on this would help the reader understand.
The paragraph on upbringing was clear, although I would like more information on how he can tell a child they have a best friend leading them to their ‘best possible way’ without them justifying negative action by saying God led them to do it, as children often think this way.
As for his view on friends, I think the explanation was extremely clear.
I don’t quite understand the paragraph on his initial downfall, and would like to see more information on what this black magic entailed, or where it might have come from. I do however think his view on anger is explained extremely well.
The paragraph about people pleasing was also clear, and I think that a way of making the book even more relatable to other people, is linking the ‘best possible way’ with morality. As for the part on jealously I believe this was extremely clear too, and the message was profound. This is also true for the paragraph ‘your soul needs you’.
Overall his message about doing good deeds and believing that good comes back to you is what I believe is at the very heart of many religions, and is at the heart of many people.
The three types of people give clarity to why people do good, even without religion.
All in all the paragraphs covering mental health are extremely personal and difficult subjects to convey properly, which has been executed perfectly here. It is written with sympathy, as well as a drive for people to get help when they need it. I honestly have no fitting comments about them, as I believe they are written well, with a message beneficial to all. There aren’t many religious people who will encourage you to get the medical help if you need it, as well as instilling an inherent sense of hope in the readers’ hearts.
After reading this book I feel almost as though I have a connection with the writer. It is truly an insight on someone else’s deepest thoughts. This after his fear of having people see these very thoughts, is awe-inspiring to me. It is no simple task to convey your motivations and thoughts on a spiritual level in a way that people understand it, and it has been done very well here. This is a self-help book with an amazing mix of the writers personal life, without it sounding patronising.

Great book that is easy and relatable. It's a nice and easy read that poses interesting questions and approaches to things that you may encounter in your daily life. You don't have to agree with everything to get value out of this book. This is the perfect light read while traveling or when you have a few moments of peace and quiet.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this e-book, especially since I am spiritual, but not overly religious. I was positively surprised. The author recounts his own life story of how he overcame obstacles like anxiety & depression by strenghtening his faith in God and placing this faith above all else. One can easily replace the word God with another expression for Divine. One of my favorite quotes of the book is "The moment you make someone or something other than God your best friend, they will have control over your heart. Give your heart first to the Creator and then secondary to the people you love". In my view, in that way you can freely love people without having your mood and wellbeing being dependant on their moods & actions. And that is just one of the many aspects the author touches upon. Funny enough, the book came upon me right as I was going through a lighter version of what the author experienced. You could take this as proof that yes, the Divine/Creator really has your back & best interests at heart. I would recommend this book to anyone who is going through struggles, especially where they perceive to be misunderstood or persecuted by others.

After reading this, you will totally be convinced to have God as your best friend too. First, I would like to compliment the Author for being courageous enough to share his personal story. It is very inspiring as while sharing his troubles, he also shares how to overcome them too. How God helped him and how he can help us too with our life troubles whether its mental issues, addictions to sin. My favorite chapter was: Do your best in this life. This book also stood out for me, by how the author was able to easily connect with me as the reader. I really loved the advice offered and will definitely apply many of them in my life. This is definitely a spiritual and wonderful book filled with great advice on how to live life to the fullest and how to always trust God. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to be uplifted, motivated and blessed.

“Why God Is My Only Best Friend: A Psychological Approach” book was interesting at first sight. I loved the book's cover as it sent the book's first impression. You won't believe it if I tell you I read this book in one sitting. You won’t believe it.
Despite not being overly clean, I am religious, and something has changed in me spiritually. The book’s flow, the use of simple phrases, and the story's consistency are mesmerizing to me.
In the book, Mr Fog expresses his ideal steps/approaches to living a good life: knowing God, connecting with Him and submitting to Him. The overall positive message in this book is not just what you might think but what happens daily.
I have lived a life wherein I do things to please people, blame my past and overthink the future. I just realized I was missing a connection with God and living without spiritual guidance. The author has explored numerous things that prohibit us from being happy- do you feel bitter, anxious, depressed, jealous, or overthinker? The only way to know your problem is by reading this book.
The use of language is so insightful. And with a lot going on in my life, I couldn’t stop reading because this book is an obsessive masterpiece. The book flows well, is very fair, and has a simple language.
I talk from the love of this book if you need a short and eye opener book. Please pick it up!

This book is a personal and heartfelt account of how the author, Mr. Fog, overcame his mental health struggles by relying on God as his only best friend. He shares his insights and experiences on various topics such as emotions, purpose, sincerity, jealousy, forgiveness, and more. He also explains how he views God's rules, mercy, justice, and destiny from a psychological perspective.
I found this book to be very inspiring and uplifting. It made me feel that I am not alone in my struggles and that God is always there for me. It also challenged me to reflect on my own relationship with God and how I can improve it. The book is not very long but it covers a lot of ground. The chapters are short and easy to read, but they also contain a lot of wisdom and practical advice.

I absolutely loved this book, it was eye-opening. The author of this book explained each chapter with such passion using simple terms to get me engaged, which definitely encouraged me to continue reading on. I especially loved the concept he used of the ideal long-term 'best possible way' to please the Almighty, since it made so much sense & the importance of the concept was mentioned in nearly every single chapter which made a great impact on me as I continued to read. Each section of the book encapsulates key themes & provides such powerful insights that resonated with me. This book offers a profound journey of faith, personal growth, self-esteem & the enduring power of our relationship with GOD & how we should ideally see GOD as our best friend in this life. Mr. FOG shares valuable lessons & reading this book from his perspective definitely changed my point of view about many things. Definitely worth reading this book!!

Why God Is My Only Best Friend by Mr. Fog is a delightful read. It explores the idea and existence of the Creator or Almighty, whatever you may call him through a psychological approach. It investigates and guides you on the lines of ideas of religion, happiness, responsibility and more. Through an interactive form of narration it asks some probing questions and makes you think deep. I connected with the essence of the book. The narrative is interesting and is thus a fast read. The writing is beautiful, gripping and inspirational.
