If you are interested in learning the nuts and bolts of promoting concerts and special events, this is one of the "no BS" books available....I say this from having started my career as a promoter of dances and small concerts and events in HS and later, this is "The Book To Read"..Howard has done a masterful job of giving the "novice" the perfect "primer".....Other than one other book (How To Promote College Concerts by Ken Kragen and Ken Fritz - which is the absolute "best" book on the subject ever written - however appears to be "out of print"), this is your best bet at getting the real "skinny" to get the job done.
