A great continuation

I was so happy that there was a continuation of where Blue Valentines left off but this left me longing for a more concrete resolution... which I really hope comes to fruition at some point. Overall, still a great read.

Overall this was a cute series following Michael; a young man whose life has tossed him many obstacles to overcome, some he’s had a hand in creating and others he had no control over. This book had a lot of lovely poetry to it and the writing was lyrical, which I adored. I feel like Michael’s story ended kinda abruptly, I would have liked to see him build more of a relationship with his father then how things all ended, but I also see that sometimes life doesn’t go the way we want it so is realistic, which I admired. I’m glad this character was pushed out of his confront zone and forced to kinda find his own without Shelly in this novel. The ending is left open to interpretation so I choose to believe Shelly and Michael stayed friends and he went off to college!

I'm the author so I have to say I like it. Ha! But I do. I love my characters, even the shadowy ones.
