He never believed he’d have a second chance. She’s determined he’ll never get one.
Devoted, Book Five, Eternal Brethren Military Romantic Suspense Series
Nathan “Tracker” Calderon Kincaid excels as a Navy SEAL. Since joining Eternal Brethren, he’d become a valued member of the undercover motorcycle club made up of active duty military. Quiet and unassuming, he handled each assignment with the precision of an expert, proud of the missions his team completed. His job didn’t keep him awake at night. That honor was reserved for the woman who’d stolen his heart. The woman who’d shoved him from her life after a perceived betrayal.
Juliana Stanifer Quintero’s life has been torn apart twice. Once as a young child when she and her sister were orphaned after a deadly airplane crash. The second as an adult when the man she loved shattered her trust. She hadn’t seen the decorated Navy SEAL who’d shredded her heart since the most painful night of her life. Not until she’d traveled to Liberty Lake to interview for a position at a local clinic.
Nate couldn’t do this again. He’d never refused an order until his commander, Wrath McCord, explained his next assignment. For a second time, he’d been assigned to a task force ordered to bring down the Quintero Cartel. He either accepts the order or kisses his career goodbye—the same choice he’d been given once before. Nate had chosen wrong.
He’ll not make the same mistake a second time.
Devoted is book five in the Eternal Brethren Military Romantic Suspense Series by best seller Shirleen Davies. It is a stand-alone, full-length novel with no cliffhanger and a guaranteed HEA.
PLEASE NOTE: This series contains strong language common within the military. It is also a steamy romance with open door love scenes.
Book 1: Steadfast Book 2: Shattered Book 3: Haunted Book 4: Untamed Book 5: Devoted

Devoted is book 5 in the Eternal Brethren Military Romanic Suspense series by Shirleen Davis and a great addition!! While each book in this series is a standalone, reading the prior books gives you more insight into the Eternal Brethren and all it stands for.
Nathan “Tracker” Calderon, a valued member of the Eternal Brethren has never walked away from anything he is asked to do but when he’s asked to join another task force, get close to the woman who stole his heart the first time around and who feels betrayed by him, bring down the Quintero drug cartel (her adopted family)...he knows if he refuses this time he could lose his Navy career.
Juliana Stanifer Quintero and her sister lost her parents in a plane crash and were adopted by the Quintero family. She lost her heart to Tracker who she believes betrayed her and her trust while trying to take down the family drug cartel. Now years later she’s interviewing for a job at the clinic in Liberty Lake unbeknownst to her this is where Tracker now lives.
When they meet up again it looks like the same circumstances from years before will keep them apart but when she and her sister are kidnapped Tracker is determined to prove to Jules that he is and always will have her back!
Action, suspense, fast paced and edge of your seat reading!!
Nathan "Tracker" Kincaid and Juliana "Julia" Quintero fell in love six years ago but a over zealous DEA agent separated them. Tracker has one chance to fix their relationship and he does. Now they have to live through another round with the same DEA agent. There is trouble from the the Nuevo Leon Cartel in Mexico and two other outlaw MC gangs to fight, four huge brothers and a bad police chief.
The non-stop action and mystery will keep you turning pages until the end.
I did not like what they did to Moses in this book and that's my only dislike.
I love this series and this is no exception. I am enjoying reading these in order and can't wait to read the next one. Lots of action and suspense, great characters and plot, with some romance thrown in, all will keep you turning pages.
I was given this book as an ARC in trade for an honest review.
This book focuses on Nate 'Tracker' Kincaid and Juliana Stanifer.
Nate and Jules used to be an item until Nate was ordered to spy on Jules' family who were suspected cartel leaders. They split after the DEA forced Nate's secret into the open and Juliana just couldn't forgive him.
6 years on and they bump into each other. Can Juliana forgive Nate or is history going to repeat itself? When Juliana and her sister, Victoria are kidnapped, can Juliana trust Nate to protect her?
This was an easy read, it took me less than a day. If you haven't read the rest of the series, it may be a struggle to understand what's going on. Even having read the series, I struggle to keep straight who's who particularly as the author flirts between characters real names and their nicknames. They're so many characters I found it quite difficult to figure out what was happening. My other struggle is with the timeframes between Juliana not wanting anything to do with Nate to then suddenly being back in a relationship. And the end seemed quite abrupt. After everything that happened, I can't believe her adoptive father just walked away without saying anything to her after what she witnessed with her sister. Otherwise it's a quick, suspenseful read.
Once again Shirleen Davies has written one of those books that is difficult to put down. I enjoyed it just as much as the previous ones in the Eternal Brethren series. The main characters draw you into their story as because of events in their past that separated them for years and have to build a new relationship and restore trust. This book keeps your interest through danger, romance, a gripping storyline, and interesting characters who have to overcome the hurt of the past to build their new relationship after meeting again, and building trust when all is not as it first appears while dealing with family secrets that bring extreme danger into their lives As it is written as part of a series there are characters in the book that you have met in the previous books and others that you have a little introduction to their story which will hopefully be developed in a future book, but this book could easily be enjoyed as a stand alone. Highly recommend this book and really looking forward to the others in the Eternal Brothers series.
This is a gripping, suspenseful and dramatic story. Tracker is asked to get close to Julia again to gather information about her family, and when he initially refuses, he's threatened with someone else doing it. He agrees to it with the understanding that he tells her as much of the truth as he can. Julia finally decides to give Nate a chance to explain what happened six years before, and feels horrible about not letting him explain then, but she doesn't know if she can ever trust him again. Unfortunately for the both of them, the agent that screwed up their lives is involved in this new op. The team's still after the same cartel, and they're determined to bring it down. Some shocking revelations bring to light the kind of people they work for. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion.
What an absolutely amazing book with well-developed characters and a smartly-written story that was fast-paced, action-packed, unpredictable, kept me on the edge of my seat and I couldn't put it down from the first word to the last!!
I loved the undeniable chemistry and emotional second-chance romance between Navy SEAL Nathan "Tracker" Calderon Kincaid and Dr. Juliana Stanifer Quintero. I also loved the loyalty and camaraderie of the Eternal Brethren, the undercover motorcycle club made up of active duty military.
"Devoted" is perfect for anyone who enjoys well-crafted romantic suspense and I can hardly wait for book six in this must-read series by gifted author Shirleen Davies. I received an advance reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. I also purchased a copy to read again later.
In reading this book, it left me breathless after fast action, tormented love and internal workings of the Eternal Brethren MC activities. I’m a big fan of this series and the intensity that this author writes into her story-lines. This book is the ultimate reveal of crime, drugs, human trafficked and those that try to stop the illegal activity and protect the victims. It sounds heavy but the details are written to perfection. On the personal level, Nathan “Tracker” Kincaid finds his second chance in his love of Julia after parting six years ago; and, her sister Tori meets Dylan “Moses” Wright who fights to save her life. Within the story there are new members of the group, babies to be born, weddings to attend as well as criminals to stop. I loved every page of this book and didn’t want to see The End.
Thanks to the author for an early ARC so I could enjoy her writing.
This series is a fresh new premise and different than the author’s previous writings. It exceeded my expectations.
If you like alpha males with a protective streak a mile wide, a tough exterior and tender heart...if you like strong, independent yet vulnerable women this series is for you!
Although these books can be read as stand alone novels the full experience comes when you read through from book one, “Steadfast.” The Eternal Brethren have each other’s backs and if you become one of theirs, you are part of their family—period.
Each book in the series is well written, has great character development and draws the reader into the action. With edge of your seat suspense and love that will have you gasping for air, you can’t lose.
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Devoted. This story is fantastic . I really enjoyed reading it . Nathan Kincaid (Tracker) a Navy Seal undercover with his team masquarading as a biker gang Eternal Brethren has a history with Dr. Julia Stanifer . She was the love of his life thought he betrayed her years ago . They come face to face and they still have feelings and questions for each other . Danger is lurking ! The story is action packed, suspenseful, unpredictable, all out fantastic . I love this series . I highly recommend taking the time to read this story and enjoy .
Juliana moves to Liberty Lake to work with her friend as a doctor. There she reconnects with Tracker who she had a relationship with 6 years earlier. Other members of the Eternal Brethren kept them apart then. Part of a mission for the Brethren now means that Tracker needs to get close to Juliana again. Reluctant at first he agrees as he cannot bear the thought of another man getting near her. This is another great story in this series. Read an ARC for an honest review.
Human trafficking, drug cartels, secret team saving operations, MC Club which is not what it seem, danger, suspense... and love. I loved reading this awesome story of Tracker and Julia, loved the adrenaline rush, perfectly leading characters through the story till the end. Five star ratting is easily deserved. Shirleen Davies, I am waiting for the rest of the Eternal Brethren , because they are one hell of a crew to follow.
Another amazing book in the Eternal Brethren series. Tracker and Juliana’s story is a fast-paced action-packed love affair. I don’t tend to be a fan of second chance love stories but this one is the exception. Juliana thought Tracker had betrayed her and pushed him out of her life. The ever-steadfast Tracker discovered more than just secrets during his undercover assignment. Tracker vows to win back Juliana and prove his devotion to her. I love this series.
Devoted is the fifth book in the Eternal Brethren series. It showcases Juliana’s and Nate’s romance and introduces her sister, Tori, and her budding romance with Moses. As usual, this book is filled with romance, action and intrigue. Although the book could be read as a stand-alone, reading the whole series brings in additional information that adds to the overall suspense. I can’t wait for book six!
this is a page turning story i could not put down. i was glad he did not try too hard to stop his fellings. felt sorry for the girls but glad they have Nate to help. if you like supsense and romance you will like the story. looking forward to the next one. i was given a copy of the book but thisis an honest review.
Nathan, Nate and Juliana, Julia, were a couple until the DEA were trying to catch her adopted family and they were both mislead. Several years later they meet again. The Brethren are being targeted, someone is a traitor. Then horrid events occur.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Another 5* Eternal Brethren book by Ms.Davies!Enjoyed it from start to finish.Loved Nate and Julias charactors and their second chance at a hea.The book had suspense, drama and a great pace that made it had to put down.Highly recommend this book.I read this book as an arc and this is my honest opinion.
I love this amazing series. It has endearing characters and a suspenseful storyline. This is Tracker and Julia's story. They had been apart for six years because of a misunderstanding but, their love for each other was undeniable. This is a fast-paced suspenseful read that will keep you turning the pages until the end. I can't wait to read the next book.
This is Tracker and Juliana's story. Tracker was tasked with bringing her family down and he was betrayed by another undercover agent and it lost him Juliana. Now another job has come up and he's ordered to do it again. There is a lot of action, tragedy and setups. They have to find out who keeps setting them up. HEA.
Very dramatic entry in the series. Lots of action and tense moments to keep you interested. Each book in the series can be read alone but the continuity of the back issues is best enjoyed if read in order.
I love this series and this book did not disappoint me in any way. A fantastic story which I fully recommend. I do not do spoilers so will not say anything other than an excellent second chance story. Thank you Shirleen for another great story.
