Excellent book for anyone looking for a tour through the Commedia Dell'Arte in theater, painting, photography, and sculpture. I came to it hoping for more analysis of Pierrot, Harlequinn, and Columbine. Alas, it's much more of a smart, thorough coffee table book with arresting visual resources than it is an analysis. It's great for what it is, though.
