“Summer Song” packs a ton of non-stop entertainment into a delightful interactive adventure. The joyful story takes readers through a day of summertime fun, encouraging kids to get outside and explore all the wonderful sights and sounds of summer. Gray cat and his friend have a full day of exploration, visiting the park and playing at the playground, going on a picnic, building sandcastles at the beach, and a number of other activities to keep you busy on a beautiful summer day.

The pictures are fabulous! So bright and cheery and certain to put a smile on your face. I loved so many of the illustrations, but I think my favorite might be the page with the ice cream truck because it conjured up memories from my own childhood days, chasing the ice cream man and buying a Bomb Pop!

“Summer Song” is so much more than a story. At the end of the book there is a board game to play. There is also a page full of craft ideas to make. There is an app available to download for an enhanced reading experience, and the Kindle edition allows for on-the-spot interaction featuring several “Listen Here” buttons that incorporates cheery summer songs. I listened to the songs while reading – such a fun, engaging idea!

This is such great story to ignite inspiration in your little ones. Summer is all about adventure – I love that “Summer Song” encourages young readers to get outside and explore, make memories and just enjoy being a kid. A perfect story for parents to read to the younger ages, and the enhanced interactive format makes it a playful way to instill the love of reading in beginning and early readers. FUN!

Anetta Kotowicz shares a fun and exciting summer adventure story in "Summer Song: A Day in The Life of A Kid." The story highlights the morning excitement of waking up to summer adventures such as swimming, playgrounds, picnics, vacations, and fun activities at the beach. There are great story characters that include but not limited to a cat, octopus, whale, and fireflies. The flow of the words and rhythm help the story flow as a song. There is music to accompany the story so that the reader can listen and get a taste of the experience. This book is also great to help young children spell and pronounce words with things and items associated with summer like watermelon and lemonade. The illustrations are well drawn, and this book really benefits children in the age range of 3 to 6 years old.

This is a cute picture book that will provide much enjoyment to the preschool and primary grade reader. The book is filled with rhyming text that contains alliteration and onomatopoeia that makes it a great choice as a read-aloud.

The author takes her readers on a sensory journey featuring the sights, sounds, touch and taste activities abundant during the summer season. Young readers may interact through the pictures and counting activities. At the end of the story bonus activities include a link to songs, a board game and links to listen on youtube.

Highly recommended to parents and teachers of children ages three through eight.

Nice book

The book has a melody in words. Suitable for children aged two plus, I think. Illustrations fitted for a story. I also like the idea, that there is music linked with the book.
