This is just one of the many observations, sayings and anecdotes about the law, lawyers, courts, justice, crime, and punishment. This clever and often profound book is illustrated throughout with cartoons and sketches, and will interest and entertain not only lawyers, but also all that have ever marveled at the majesty of the law.
This is the first anthology I have read and this style is not for me. There are a bunch of quotes from all different sources, but they seem thrown into a book. There is not point being made, just the quotes that deal with different types of law. Some parts with information read more like a textbook, just knowledge or things that happened in this type of law or a story and is followed by the quotes. This just didn't hold my attention and I did not enjoy reading random quotes.
About halfway through. It is a wry look at the relativity of "absolutes" in the world of law. Quite funny... 50/50 american and british law systems. I would prefer less brit influence... but its still a wry, ironic read.
