Miss Colleen’s Amazing Dance Class

My mom and dad always wanted a beautiful little girl named Susie. They took their time and waited patiently for me. When I was born I looked a little different and the doctor told my mom and dad that I was special. Every baby has 23 chromosomes. It turns out I had an extra chromosome attached to my Number 21. The doctor explained to my mom and dad that there was a name for this. It’s called Down syndrome. I was a very lively and very happy baby! Today, I am a beautiful little girl with one little challenge. I can’t run and play sports like other kids. I am a bit slow to learn and my coordination is not the best. But, who cares because I do so many other things just great! My friends don’t care either because they think I am a good friend and very funny!
