The Mystery of Ruby's Mask is the eighth book in the fabulous Ruby Dove Mysteries series.

I am loving this historical mystery series. Ruby, Fina, and Pixley are all well-developed characters that are quirky and charming. The storyline captivated me from the first page and held my interest with the magic of Mardi Gras, beautiful costumes, a masked ball, murder, suspense, and intrigue.

I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.

This is the first book I have read in this series, and it has inspired me to start from the beginning. The amount of characters made it a tad difficult since I was unfamiliar even with the main characters, but I’m sure that would be remedied by reading the books in order. The characters were enjoyable, the descriptive language made the locale come alive and a good old fashioned mystery plot.
