From FIFA World Cup Champion, Olympic gold medalist, and bestselling author Alex Morgan comes the eleventh book in an empowering and fun-filled middle grade series that inspired the streaming original series, The Kicks!
Devin is finally on her way to Connecticut to visit her best friend, Kara, and she couldn’t be more excited! Not only that, but the Kicks have just made it into the playoffs!
Except Devin’s good fortune seems to have run out. First, the airport sends her luggage to Albuquerque. Then, when she finally gets to hang out with Kara, all they do is fight. And what’s worse, Devin thinks her parents are planning to move them back to Connecticut!
Devin’s not sure what to make of her unfortunate homecoming. Are she and Kara even friends anymore? Is Devin ready to leave all her friends behind again to move back to Connecticut? And can she get her head back in the game in time to win the Kicks’s first playoff match?

I finished this book so quick I never even put it as currently reading! It was very good and a very fast read! I really enjoyed it and am excited to read the last book in the series hopefully this summer!
The Kicks also known as the Kentville Kangaroos grow up together and learn to become good friends and great soccer players. I highly recommend this book!
Devin misses her friend Kara. When Devin gets invited to one of her old friends sweet 16 party, she has the chance to see Kara again. The only problem is that Kara gets mad when Devin keeps talking about her other friends, then Kara and Devin get into a fight. Will they be able to fix their problem or will they become enemys? I liked this book and how it shows that some friendships change over time, but you should not get jealous of your friend having other friends. I would recommend this book to people who like books about solving problems, and friendships. I would also recommend this book to students in grades 5-8.
