Kitap politik ekoloji literatürü ile ilgili özeti kısaca veriyor. Ekoloji, yeşil olmak gibi kavramları açıklayıp marksist ötesi bir politik ekoloji önerisinde bulunuyor.

Bu dönüşümün reformlarla olmayacağı konusunda ısrarcı.

Çok açık olmamakla birlikte çözüme yapılacak devrimle ulaşılacağı ima ediliyor.

Peki sonra ne olacak? Bu soru ise yanıtsız. Bütün dünyanın birleşip ortak bir ekolojik bakışta birleşmesi ise olası görünmüyor.

Kitapta bu görüşün temsilcisi olarak terörist örgütlerin (PKK gibi) ve temsilcilerinin verilmesi ise kitabı bilimsel temelden çokça uzaklaştırıyor.
