The Kronos Key

Rate this book
It's the first day of summer, and Adam finds himself exploring an abandoned tornado shelter. It was his best friend Sofia's idea (after all, it always is). Inside the shelter, the two stumble upon an old key. It's the Kronos key—an ancient artifact with a secret, dangerous, terrifying power. It can turn any door into a portal to another time.
But no one told them that. So, when they use it to open one of the shelter's closet doors, they suddenly find themselves catapulted to the last place they ancient Greece.
And ancient Greece isn't happy to see them. They've stumbled into a village enslaved by an army of ruthless Spartans led by the sinister General Iakovos, who will stop at nothing to capture Adam and Sofia and use the Kronos key's powers to invade all of Greece.
But, to make matters worse, the Kronos key is a one way ticket. To escape the Spartans and get back to their time (alive), Adam and Sofia must win the help of the timekeeper, the only man alive who knows how to use the key.
But the timekeeper guards his power carefully. Will Adam and Sofia gain his trust? Will they pass his trials and be deemed worthy to bear the secret of the Kronos key?

This was a fun adventure novel. It took me back to some of my favorite childhood reads, like the Magic Treehouse. Educational, exciting, fun premise. I’m excited to see where this adventure leads!
