Ah aunty Lottie, she has proven to be very silly in the stories thus far so the title of this book seems apt.
Tilly hopes Lottie will be looking after them again soon, I'm not sure Lottie is ready for that exhaustion or that mum is ready for the mess again too soon!
It's a lovely day spent between aunt, niece and nephew and really captures that bond where we aunts may let our small relatives get away with much more than their parents would!
As always, the illustrations are wonderful.

1-day Aunty Lottie (mom’s sister) babysat Charlie son/brother) & Tilly (daughter/sister).
She played games with us in the AM.
Charlie let Aunty Lottie know it was time to eat lunch.
The rest of the day with Aunty Lottie was kind of hit/miss.

An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary age) Funny storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s Funny movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.

This is the first book in the Tilly Tales series - which is a brilliant set of books following Tilly and her family.
These books are aimed at pre-school age children and make the perfect read for bedtime stories.
In this book we meet Tilly and her younger brother Charlie.
Today Mum is busy and Auntie Lottie comes to look after the children for the day.
I loved that this was told from Tilly's pov which makes the story easy for the listener to relate to.
This reminds us just how tiring it is looking after smaller children but also shows the youngsters that adults sometimes do get things wrong too.
It was great to see the kids just getting on with their routines regardless - and enjoying some of the changes that Auntie allowed.
The beautiful illustrations make this appealing for little ones to look at when being read to and I love that the font is nice and clear, which would be great for using as an early reader later on too.
A lovely little story and a great introduction to the series - I can't wait to see what Tilly will get up to next.....

I love Tilly and have been lucky enough to be able to read and review several now. I love howw colourful and vibrant they are and how simple yet perfect the stories are. Children will definitely be able to relate to these stories and I know my nephew would particularly be able to relate to this one. I am his silly auntie, how takes forever to work out how to turn his tv and other things on because his dad is a gadget buff and im a total technophobe, I can never work out how their oven works, I think it has a dislike for me personally and it always takes too long to cook or is burnt beyond recognition, and why would I out his down to nap when there are so many adventures to be had.
I think most children Tilly's age have an auntie or uncle that this book will remind them of, and that is what makes these books so good.

This is a very charming book. Children love books that present other children playing and doing things that might be naughty or against the rules. Skipping naptime or dripping paint on your shirt is fun for kids. This story of Tilly and her baby brother is so sweet! Their mom is going out for the day since her sister (their Auntie Lottie) comes to stay and take care of them.
They have many fun adventures and break some of the nap rules. Snack time is a little more fun with Auntie Lottie, as she serves us ice cream. At the end of the day Tilly and Charlie are in bed and Auntie Lottie is tired. I loved the illustrations and the writing.
Ivoluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

Aunties Are Fun
This is a fun and whimsical way to show Auntie Tilly as a babysitter. I highly recommend this book for babies to beginning readers. This book will be an exciting book for kids to listen to and then learn to read themselves.
Mummy gets busy and Auntie Tilly came over to watch us. She is silly because she burned finger food and gave them ice cream. She gave the baby his bottle without a bib. She forgot other things too. You get to listen/read and find out!! So very exciting and fun!!

This book is a real comedy treat. I loved the illustrations, they really showed what was happening in the story. There isn’t too much writing on each page, so children can read it themselves without feeling overwhelmed. I loved the comedy element to it, the children I read it with found this aunty to be hilarious and really quite silly to not know how to do so much. It was lovely to see the author has written lots of other stories.

September 21, 2022Silly Auntie is the first book of the Tilly Tales Series. I like to think I am a silly auntie so I am looking forward to sharing this book with my Godsons.
I really enjoyed this sweet little story and I especially loved the beautiful illustrations and the easy to read writing.
The characters in this story are from a diverse family which I think makes it all the better.

This is such a fun children's book. Tilly is back in another tale this time with her Auntie Lottie, who is looking after her and her brother for the day.
Fun and chaos takes place throughout the story.
It's full of wonderful Illustrations that really compliment the story.
A fab book for 4-7yr olds.

Good book
This is a good book for beginners, I use it for reading comprehension with my child. She reads to herself and I then ask what happened.
