Just terrible. This woman has a very high opinion of herself, is a born-again Catholic convert, smitten with the idea of having an Israelite Jewish lover, and in the 1930's was apparently considered a feminist. (this in particular was hard to swallow). She is quite possibly the most unlikeable woman I've ever come across through literature. Gag-worthy.
