It's a little scattershot; I feel like it has less structure and is by nature less comprehensive than the main Maudsley text. Having said that, there are little nuggets of practical wisdom that have been influencing how I think of about the management of psychosis, and how I interpret the actions of others practicing laterally to me in this area. It's also influenced how I approach inpatient counselling of medications with mental health consumers while admitted. It's also got a great pharmacokinetics appendix which stretches into the developing area of pharmacogenomics (something I need to get my head around). Given that it's relatively inexpensive, would recommend for any mental health pharmacist (note: I work in Australia; Maudsley is a UK text)

Good book

Good book
Practical
Cannot compete textbooks however. Good overview of Psychiatry.
Needs more input.
In my opinion no need of this book if you have Maudsley Prescribing Guidelines.
