She nursed for 20 years, working in a variety of settings from the newborn nursery to the recovery room, to dialysis. But she never lost her desire to write.
She sold her first book in 1994 to Silhouette Romance but later discovered she had a flair for comedy and branched out to Harlequin Duets and now, to Blaze.
Lori is an adventuresome soul who loves to travel. She’s taken flying lessons, completed two marathons, rode in a hot-air balloon, performed with a professional jazz band, traveled Europe as a teenager, hiked volcanoes in Hawaii, trod on glaciers in Alaska, shot white-water rapids, water-skied, snow-skied, raced all-terrain vehicles, bodysurfed in the Gulf of Mexico, and photographed grizzly bears in Yellowstone.
She lives in her native Texas, with her own real-life hero, Bill.

A patent for the win!
This would have gotten a much higher rating of it wasn't a copycat story. Once again, instead of an original storyline it's a repeat. Rich man who's been jilted in the past by a woman attracted to his money not him, hides his true identity.
The characters saved the book as baby Molly was a cutie. Still an enjoyable story but hopefully others in the series aren't repeat stories!

A nice entertaining,romantic funny story.Mystery,a little suspense and a whole lot of laughter..This one will have you smiling and keep you guessing.I'll be looking forward to reading more from this author.

This was my first Laura Anthony book. I enjoy contemporary romance with a western setting so I thought I’d give it a try. I wish I could say I loved it but for me it was just okay. I liked the heroine Dr. Tobie Bennet well enough. But the hero Clay Barton just didn’t work for me. I can’t even say why other than I didn’t care for the way he kept making excuses for why not to reveal who he was to Tobie. Most of the story seemed to consist of the two of them almost getting naked only to most of the time be interrupted by Clay’s niece Molly. And it’s been a long time since I’ve been around a 9 month old but aren’t they usually off of formula by then and on to baby food? I’m not saying this is a bad story. Other readers may love it more than I did.

Clay lived as a recluse on a ranch in Rascal, Texas. His previous relationship did him wrong and he did not want to repeat his mistake. His sister has asked him to temporarily care for their nine month old baby girl. His sister, Anne, was going with her husband to see his mother as she was in critical condition in the hospital.
While the baby, Molly, was in his care he had reason to take her to see a doctor. That is when he met Dr. Tobie Avery. And that is when things start to happen. I could say plenty more but I wouldn't want to ruin things for you. If you are a Lori WIlde fan I know you will love this book as much as I did.

Instead, he prefers to live in a small, rustic cabin where no one knows his background and he can spend his days doing what he loves best - inventing. Tobie is a new doctor in town, engaged to a rich guy. She feels he can provide the support and stability she never had as a child. What happens when Clay and Tobie meet? Sparks fly. Visions of family life, complete with babies enters into the thoughts of both.

This book has lots of laughs, some romance, some angst, no danger, no mystery, no sex, but some foreplay. He seems to be a poor cowboy/inventor and so attractive, but a dreamer like her father was. She is a pediatrician who craves stability and security....until she meets him and his niece. Then all bets are off.....except she can't allow her hormones to carry her away. Highly recommend.

Clay is babysitting his neice and she want stop crying. He takes her to the new pediatrician in town. Clay has been hiding in town when he really is a billionaire. Tobie is engaged to another doctor that is older and rich. Tobie was raised dirt poor and wants security.

I liked the story of Clay and Tobie. I liked how he wanted to prove himself to Tobie. That he wasn't just living off his trust fund. That he wanted to make something of himself and not just live off his parents wealth.

I didn't like the fact that she was engaged but broke off the engaged the same day after she met the hero. Then they hook up the next day. He's a billionaire in this book but was a millionaire in the previous version of this book. What?

Clay!!
I have loved going to Rascal, Texas through these books. I loved how Clay was with his niece and Tobie. So glad he was able to be secure in his inventions enough to finally be together.
