I found this book at a Zia Record Store for a few $$ and didn’t realize till I started reading it that all the stories are from the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Ultimately I didn’t like the majority of the stories because they were so old-timey and not what I would consider spine-chilling. I did however, find an appreciation for the book while reading it because it’s not often that I read such old stories and it was nice to reflect on the way stories were told in the past and what our past generations considered spooky, haunting, spine-chilling tales.
The stories I enjoyed most out of the 13 tales were:
A Friendly Exercise
The Changing of The Guard
Night-Side
