Amarisk is a rare white dragon, possibly the last of her kind, who once ruled over all the Ancient Islands and maybe even the entire world. She has chosen to bond with Ashwyn, a young girl from the Mountain Village. The pair start off their journey on the Ancient Islands, where all young riders go too train once bonded. They get off to a rough start when Ashwyn has trouble staying on the back of Amarisk during flight and are grounded until further notice by the flight instructor Islan. Meanwhile, Ashwyn remains best friends with Eli and his yellow dragon Gladiair, who accompanied her from the Mountains to the Ancient Islands for training, having been newly bonded himself. They soon befriend an older rider, Farron and his graceful blue dragon Willow who take them on many unforeseen adventures. Just when everything seems to be going so well, Ashwyn learns that a fellow student may be out to get her, and events swivel out of control. Not to mention she finds out she has an Aunt she never knew about living on the Island, and a destiny that holds far more responsibility then she bargained for. What will happen when the Ancient Islands suddenly become under attack and Ashwyn finds herself, fleeing from danger once again, but this time heading towards the Palace of the Elves where a new surprise and final battle await.

Ashley grew up on a cattle ranch in South Eastern Colorado where she spent many hours surrounded by beautiful countryside and wonderful animals. She enjoys reading as many books as she can find, mostly about fantasy/elves/dragons/knights and good winning over evil and cuddling as many furry animals as possible!

Ashley hopes to inspire readers of all age to believe in themselves, and ecourage each other to find the gifts that set them apart. She believes our Lord and Savior created us all with amazing talents to be shared with one another.

When she's not off on her own adventure, or writing about magical worlds, she enjoys dabbling in photography and spending time with her wonderful family.
