This book depicts the many works of Rene Magritte. It shows the many things he became fascinated with over time, and how his life affected his works and ideas. He liked to take ideas from Edgar Allen Poe’s poetry and make art from it. He also painted what some think might be his hallucinations. The best feature of this book is how it describes how Magritte possibly felt while making his art. I would recommend this book to someone who likes to understand the history of art and why it was made. Overall I believe this book deserves a five star rating because of how well it shows Magritte's history through his art.
