The Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania is a nonprofit corporation formed in 1884 under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, U.S.A. It is used by Jehovah’s Witnesses to support their worldwide work, which includes publishing Bibles and Bible-based literature.

According to its charter, the corporation’s purposes are “religious, educational, and charitable,” in particular, to “preach and teach the gospel of God’s Kingdom under Christ Jesus.” Membership in the corporation is by invitation only and is not based on how much a person has donated. The corporation members and directors assist the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

This book saved my life!! One of my favorite books ever...besides the Bible. I learned the truth about God and got all the answers to my religious questions by using this book along with my Catholic Bible. The book What Does The Bible Really Teach is today's version of this study book.

A book that drew many into the JW cult

This book drew me into the cult of Jehovah’s “Christian” Witnesses, where I was ensnared for a decade. The bottom line of their teaching is that if you don’t believe what they believe and join them by Armageddon (which has been just around the corner for around 150 years now, in their view), the great “loving” God Jehovah will sic his son Jesus on you, he’ll slay you, and you’ll be dead eternally.

But they don’t believe in hell. What a consolation!
