Sam and Indie have stumbled upon a terrible situation. They have found a little girl who, even though she seems happy and well-adjusted, seems to be a child who was abducted when she was very small and hustled through an adoption with false paperwork. Neither she nor her family were aware of her story, but Sam soon learns that she might be only one of many such children.
With the help of the ghosts and, Beauregard and Grace, Sam and Indie began to investigate what may be the biggest baby trafficking ring that ever existed, and the case leads to a number of dangerous situations. When they get too close, a hired killer is sent to their home while Sam and Indie are away, and it's up to Grandma Kim and Beauregard the ghost to save the day.

Book #2 of The “Sam and Indie” series is even better than book #1, and remember it’s fiction. It’s meant to be read as such.
My rating and this review is subjective as it’s based solely on my enjoyment of it, and I enjoyed it very much...”Ghosts and all “
The author’s blurb, and Amazon’s “Look Inside” feature will tell you more I recommend utilizing them both. Then if you’re still interested pick up the book.
As I’ve read every book the author has written (Yes all three of his current series and at least one standalone) I have to say I truly enjoy this new spin off.
If you haven’t yet read anything by Mr. Archer I suggest beginning at the beginning and work your way through the series. Most if not all are available through the Kindle Unlimited program as well.
Thank you David Archer until we meet again in the pages of your next release.
AHHHHHHHH!!!!! Sam and Indie! WOW! David Archer certainly hit it out of the park with this one! What a crazy scheme to unravel! But there's Herman, Beauregard, Sam's mom and mom-in-law to help! And in this one, we meet a one-eyed exNavySEAL and a retired policeman. My ONLY nit-pick is that after the death of one of the new 'helpers', there's nothing more said. I would've liked to have had some mention made as the story wound down ~ were his family notified? was there a funeral? ~ just a couple of questions like that . . . .
I always chuckle a bit when there's a cross-over ~ in this one, Sam tells a cold-hearted mastermind that there *might* be a way to not serve jail time ~ and that he'd send over the head of E&E to talk to her. If you don't know Noah Wolf, it's just a 'somebody I know' throwaway line. But if you KNOW Noah ~ and how much Sam really doesn't like what he does ~ it's kinda funny that'd he'd intercede for this woman. [Not funny 'haha', and not exactly ironic, either ~ somewhere in between!]
I will repeat myself until these stories end: Mr Archer: you cannot write them fast enough for me! PLEASE DON'T STOP!!!
A child abduction ring has been operating for some years, undetected. Kenzie makes a new friend, Lisa and Indie checks the family out with Herman's help. Lisa's photo flags up that of an age progressed photo of a child, who was kidnapped when she was one year old. This child, Sarah had been left with her regular babysitter, whilst her parents had a weekend on their own. Finding the baby & her sitter missing on their return, the FBI get a description of the sitter and it matches a criminal, with quite a list of arrests, but no charges. Sam gets involved and relies on Beauregard & Grace to help get information. From there more and more people, both living and dead become involved. Four local corrupt police officers remove any one who gets in the way of a smooth operation. An interesting read into a disturbing subject.
After the last Sam Prichard book where the ghosts had taken up a prominent role and chapters, I was afraid THIS ridiculous banter would continue. Although still an element it has been dialed back somewhat, certainly pleasing me and other readers who are not friends of the paranormal! This story was excellent and the introduction of new characters welcome. The ghost "tomfoolery" not withstanding this chapter in the Sam and Indie story redeemed itself. It proves to me (and I believe other like minded followers), that when it comes to the "ghosts" , less is more!
The Whole Gang's Together Again in a Sam, Indie, Harry and Yes, Beauregard and Grace too!
Kenzie makes a friend could be a lame title for this book but Kenzie's friend is also a kidnapping victim. Part of a kidnapping ring that seems to involve FBI, Police and Criminals. Naturally Sam is going to need help, help in the form of the retired Sea Dog, Spook Harry Winslow. Together they take on a kidnapping ring so fast they can't figure out who's the kingpin. No one involved seems to know anything more than one level to the right or left. A single degree of motion keeps #1 quite insulated while still able to cause a lot of mayhem and a lot of money.
In the latest installment of the Sam/Indie series, Indie convinces Sam to investigate their daughter s new friends parents. Lisa ( the new Friend) has a strange reaction whenever her father enters a room, Indie noticed this and convinced Sam to investigate the parents. This simple observation leads to a vast Criminal Conspiracy aided and abetted by local Law Enforcement and possibly the FBI. Sam agained is guided by the Dynamic Duo from the Afterlife ( their personal Guardian Angels). Very good story and very satisfying Ending.
Sam becomes involved in a baby stealing ring when Indie doesn’t like the way a young playmate for Kenzie reacts when her father is around (the explanation for this doesn’t hold up in my opinion). This quickly involves them in a search for the ring leader, a deadly search to be sure. This wasn’t my favourite Sam Pritchard novel, but still a good read. ENJOY!
Harry informing Sam that his spooks are up to their tricks again, finding a way to get information right away to Sam. This was a delightful humerous plot, between Beauregard, Grace and now with Harry’s humor. The plot of getting people who were in a jam, from breaking the law, or needing money to do there bidding or be killed. Sam promises to help them. Will it all backfire when the organization has high officials and corrupt cops. Great series getting the family involved in helping him.
David Archer did it again...had me start reading and not put the book down until I finished it. The story began with a. Dang and raced downhill from there. The usual presence of Beauregard kept the plot going and I could not imagine a Sam and Indie story without him in it. Now I'm waiting for the next book.
I actually guessed what the worst Nightmare was being a father and grandfather. But no more clues from me.
This was another brilliant book by David. Exciting, thrilling, tense and emotional. Once again I could not put the book down. A brilliant read and proving what a successful team Sam and Indie are, not forgetting their ghostly assistants.
Worst Nightmare has all of the elements that comprise a compelling mystery...strong main characters, bizarre criminal plots, a touch of the supernatural and good vs. evil. While books in the Sam and Indie series are wonderful on a stand-alone basis, I highly recommend reading them all in order. They are simply too good to miss.
Enjoyed the story but the slow move from crime fiction to spirit fantasy needs to be reversed. The occasional advice fro Beauragard is OK, but having ghosts walking around and helping solve crimes is getting waaaaay out there. Please tone it back down.
Nothing could be more frightening for a parent than having their child go missing. It would be their Worse Nightmare to not know what happened to their children. David Archer led Sam, Indie and the readers into a world of fiction that has probable truths. Looking forward to reading more of Archer’s novels.
I just love how Sam and Indy keep solving seemingly impossible crimes with the help of unusual “detectives”. The story is well written and keeps the reader on the hook as they discover the clues that lead to the climatic ending. I look forward to the next one!
Any story that features Sam Pritchard is a great story. Sam gets into serious trouble, but his quick thinking along with the help from Indie and the ghosts brings satisfactory results in the end.Thank you for another great story.
Wow!!!! What a ride this was!!! One more time Sam & Indie have an awesome story to share with us. Love the characters(ghosts and all), the action and all the twist and turns!!! Can't wait for the next adventure!!!!
Without being a spoiler, I have to say that David Archer does an excellent job of keeping me reading from cover to cover. New friends and old faces are very entertaining. Read this if you're a fan and te?ok me I'm lieing.
I love Sam and Indie books. I'm a fan of David Archer and I love the way he connect the books through the characters ... If you liked his books before you're going to love this one.
Sam and Indie trying to solve a baby selling ring. Story keeps you inn your toes and wanting more the old crew now mixed with new crew will they solve it.
Enjoyed this story but was appalled at how easy it would be to kidnap and sell children. All it would take is a greedy person who didn’t mind ruining others lives.
Not anywhere near as good as the previous books. I lost interest halfway through & I don’t like where it’s going with ghosts! just not for me this one. I hope the next instalment goes back to its original storylines.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I have read a couple other books with Sam and Indie. I enjoyed them also, but this one was exciting from the very beginning. Thank you Mr Archer for your excellent work.
The author does a great job of leading the reader thru each stage of the story. Can't hardly stop reading this book. It is simply marvelous. Can't wait to the next one.
I enjoyed David archer as an author. The printed series appears to be lighter than some of this other works but the characters are quite likable common story line good, and I enjoyed the book.
I have read almost every Sam & Indie books by David Archer & obviously I have enjoyed every one of them. One suggestion; get an editor. There are a lot of errors but who cares overall! Please keep them coming!
Thank you for this exciting and disturbing mystery about kidnapping babies and selling them to unsuspecting couples. The crimes were horrific. The storyline was fast-moving and the characters were interesting.
Sam and Indie are drawn into a new case when Men he makes a new friend at the park. Lisa is adopted and looks just the age progression of a baby stolen from her parents seven years ago.

Children are ones who are near and dear to me. My wife and I have three biological children. We were foster parents to 18 kids and we adopted 3. We now have 10 grandchildren and love each and everyone of them. Good book with great ending.
