97 books142 followersCornelia Amiri was introduced through books to the woman who became her favorite historical character, Boudica. The Celtic Warrior Queen made her start writing professionally. Cornelia loves history and in reading a book about the dark ages, she came across the rebel queen, who inspired Cornelia so much, she started jotting down notes, but they were fiction, visions of her involved in the Boudica revolt. Before Cornelia knew it, she’d accidentally written a rough draft for a novel. And she’s been writing books on purpose ever since. Drawing on her love of a happy ending, Cornelia has written over 40 published romance books.
Now, for the more mundane stuff — Cornelia Amiri and her muse, Severus the Cat, live amid the hustle and bustle of sultry Houston, Texas. When not writing, Cornelia loves to read, watch movies, and attend comic cons. She is currently working on a sequel to Rare Finds and a sequel to The Brass Octopus, which she is renaming and republishing as The Librarian and the Rake.

Andrew and Margaid for the win! A romcom/mythology/humor/erotic/comedy of errors that was just a treat to read. The pacing allowed for the length of a novella was perfect. Just a nice bit of laughter for cloudy day. I hope Cornelia Amiri’s writes more books are like this, I am addicted.

The Isle of Man houses vampires known as leanan sidhe. They are beautiful women who live in sea caves. The leanan sidhes seduce men and take their blood to fill their red cauldrons.
Margaid was warned by Mannan beg mac y Leir, leader of the leanan sidhes that if Margaid does not make her first kill soon than he will turn her into a kelpie. Margaid really doesn’t want to make Mannan mad, she would rather be a leanan sidhe than a kelpie. Margaid gets her chance when she comes upon Andrew.
Andrew has come to the Isle of Man with his family. Andrew thought himself the luckiest man alive when he found himself making out with a random woman he just met. Just when Margaid is about to drain Andrew something unbelievable happens… to be continued. Talk about a cliff hanger huh? I guess you will just have to read A Fine Cauldron of Fish for yourself.
I loved Margaid she was so funny the way she acted and the things she did but in an innocent way. As far as mortal men go, Andrew is a good guy. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
Honestly, the author has blown me away again! With a different take on forbidden love (and vampires) the author has a genre all of her own. The characters are well developed in the short time and seem like long lost friends.
Can't wait to read more!!
