Robert Wallace is author of Theatre and Transformation in Contemporary Canada (1999), Producing Marginality: Theatre and Criticism in Canada (l990), editor of Making, Out: Plays by Gay Men (1992), Quebec Voices (l986) and co-editor of The Work: Conversation with English-Canadian Playwrights (l982) as well as numerous essays on theatre, performance theory and lesbian/gay studies included in a range of books. Editor of Canadian Theatre Review from 1982-1988 and Drama Editor of Coach House Press from 1982-1995, he has edited more than 20 volumes of Canadian plays. He regularly publishes in a variety of scholarly journals and magazines in addition to speaking about the arts for CBC radio. For the academic year 1998-99, he held The Robarts Chair in Canadian Studies.
