Monterey Peninsula #3

Butterfly Trees

Alissa is capable and in control. Alissa Greening is proud of all she’s accomplished. Her bed-and-breakfast is well known and profitable. Her life is organized and happy—a little lonely, but she trusts God to deal with that. The rest of it she can handle. Ross Cahill’s Southern California ranches keep him busy. When his mother talks him into traveling to Pacific Grove to witness the annual Monarch migration, he reluctantly turns responsibility over to his managers and takes a long overdue vacation. Can these two busy, self-sufficient people stop long enough to see the hand of God moving in their lives? Will they learn to give God the reins, or will they continue on alone, missing out on the great blessings He wants to bestow?

a typical, god does for me book, which defeats the purpose if u could care less about him, also typical love story, man see lady, lady sees man and they fall madly in love, with gods help.

I loved reading this lovely story of two busy people who were caught up in there own little worlds until God intervened. Allissa Greening ran a Bed and Breakfast in Pacific Grove home of the Monarch migration that drew many visitors, such as the case for Ross and Maggie Cahill.
Ross Cahill was not happy about having to accompany his Mom on vacation but he wanted to be a good son, so here he was. His attitude soon changes when he comes face to face with the inns owner.
Can two self absorbed lonely people recognize the gift of love that God is placing before them or will they throw it away?

Ross and Alissa were able to find love thru friendship and faith in the Lord. The description of the butterflies were beautiful. They trusted in the Lord to show them how they could have love even though they were both set in their ways... gives me hope.
Mrs. Martin could have expanded even more with this story and I would have been very happy.
Very good read and I would read it again.
