In the twenty third century, the gateways were opened by Merlin between Earth and The Realm, the home of the Fae, in search of the next King Arthur. Magic flooded the Earth, overtaking most of technology. Now, hundreds of years later, Fae have learned to coexist peacefully with humans and Merlin still searches the Earth with Excalibur.
Aryana works in the Mayor’s kennels overnight. She’s been content with her life up until the moment her eyes meet those of Merlin’s. Everything changes during the Star Festival. Her life becomes a whirlwind as she travels to Avalon with her Knights of the Round Table, her Wizard and a new ally that no one was ever expecting.
It’s up to Aryana to help stop an ancient evil that dwells deep within The Realm. She will have to learn to fight for herself with the help of Excalibur to aid in the upcoming war.
This is a slow to medium burn fantasy reverse harem why choose novel.
God dammit man this book was too good. It had Fucking BALLING my eyes out. WOMAN WHY DID YOU HAVE TO MAKE THE BOOK SO GOOD. I'm still in tears. And for Christ sakes when are they going to be having sex. I am waiting for the smut to happen especially between Nyx and Triston. I love this book so much!!!!😍😍😍😍😍😭😭😭😭😍😍😍😍😈😈
fantastic new series! love the melding of King Arthur and his knights, with Aryana. perfectly irritating cliffhanger on the final page. book 2 cannot be released soon enough!
This is an amazing read that once you start reading there is no stopping. This book will take you away from your everyday reality to a whole new world. This story is so well written that it makes you feel as though you are actually there. It moves along at a great pace making it an enjoyable read and has characters that you feel as though you have known forever. This is a must read. You will not be sorry that you did.
This isnt usually the type of book I'd read about king Arthur ect but this story was fantastic! I couldn't put it down, the ending was very anticlimactic and felt rushed hence the 4 stars but I am looking forward to the next book x
It was another amazing write by Aspen and Adammeh. The pictures are amazing! I love how this is a female being the weilder of Excalibur versus a man and that the knights are not what we would have expected. I can't wait for book 2 in the journey!!#
This was an enjoyable fantasy where Merlin and the knights of the round table are fae, though King Arthur was human. It’s now the 23rd Century and the human race has largely fallen back to the dark ages. Merlin is on the hunt for the next king of the fae, using Excalibur to see if anyone can pull the sword from the stone.
Aryana is a normal human girl who was orphaned young and raised by the cook and stable master of the richest man in town. Despite being orphaned young, she seems pretty happy with her lot. Her adopted family are really lovely people and they treat her well. Her job in the kennels is something she loves doing and everything is good except for her recurring nightmares.
When Aryana pulls Excalibur from the stone, on a dare, she is stunned to be proclaimed the new monarch.
This book is a fairly straight forward slow burn reverse harem fantasy book. I felt there wasn’t a lot of character development sadly, as I really believed that would have been very interesting. The plot was pretty straight forward until the last chapter when everything took a bit of unexpected turn. It made me want to read the next book, I just wish the rest of the book could have had as many twists.
I absolutely love this book. I really had a hard time putting it down to get housework done! I love the twist on the continuing story of Excalibur with the reverse harem twist added in. The characters are believable even if some are elves and a dragon. I did not want this story to end and am anxiously waiting to get the second one. This is an author I will definitely be keeping an eye on!
Brilliant read. Could not put this down.. Aryana is happy laughing at all the fools trying to become king and finally pull that sword from the stone. but when a Dare ends up with her attempt and a sword in her hand, her life changes forever. the realm is in danger, but there are choices to be made over who is the biggest threat. Brilliant read. cant wait for the next.
These are new authors to me and I can’t believe I haven’t read them before. The characters were well developed and the storyline was intriguing. I was glued to my kindle throughout the story waiting for the next twist. This is loosely based on King Arthur and I couldn’t get enough. I can’t wait for the next installment of this series!!
I love how this is a female being the weilder of Excalibur versus a man and that the knights are not what we would have expected. Note: this is an updated version of the original book Aspen wrote with additional chapters. Worth the re-read to see the additions she has made to the book.
Brilliant read. Could not put this down. Arcana is happy laughing at all the fools trying to become king and finally pull that sword from the Stone. But when a dare ends up with her attempt and a sword in her hand, her life changes forever. The realm is in danger, but there are choices to be made over who is the biggest threat. Brilliant read. Ok! Now I understand what the other reviewers were about!!! This should have been a series!!! Seriously! So much more can happy here. PLEASE MAKE MORE adventures for them. Maybe looking for the dragons? Ok, I know it is up to the author. I still rate this 5 stars and that is saying something because I hate fucking writing this shit.
This was a really good book. Different from others I have read a lot of recently. I have always loved the King Arthur stories. This was a perfect change to the normal. And a pic of one of the men was much appreciated.
I was a bit wary when I started reading, expecting just another king Arthur retelling. But this was so much more. Aspen takes inspiration from the legends and wears a lively, unique tale that is all her own
The idea was interesting. The execution wasn't really well thought out. The conflict was too easily resolved. Should have been drawn out more, and perhaps even a duet instead of a standalone. I also would have liked a bit more character development. It was there, and fine. I just wanted more.
