***A retelling of Cinderella with role reversal set in contemporary India***
What if hearts met first and then the faces? Would love look different?
A 19-year-old movie-star returns to her hometown to finish her education. Having traded her childhood for fame and success, she now craves for a simpler college life and deeper friendships that go beyond flattery and fakeness. The town, however, gives her everything else but that.
So she hides a letter in a bookstore and asks the recipient to be her pen pal. Hoping to find one meaningful friendship in this old beach town of South Goa, she adds only one condition for her recipient to follow. They won't reveal their identity until they form a strong bond of friendship first.
The letter is discovered by Vihang, a 20-year-old guy who gets bullied in college and bossed around at home by his stepmother and stepbrother. On a default flight mode, Vihang takes whatever life throws at him with a pinch of salt (and loads of sarcasm). As Vihang’s own life begins to fall apart, the girl starts becoming his escape from reality. And neither of them realises when the feeling of love begins to bloom.
After getting her masters in literature, she worked for a publishing house, a magazine, a media house, and an audiobook platform. She has been a speaker at author events and panels in Bombay colleges and was awarded the Loksatta’s Indradhanu Yuvonmesh Award in 2019 for her contributions to English Literature at a young age.
She's now a marketing manager at a corporate firm and pursues her first love of writing books on the side.

This is kinda modern retelling of Cinderella, with interchange of characters. I wouldn’t say there’s much of uniqueness in the story, since the plot seemed quite common for me. The narration is good. This plot would be a perfect Bollywood drama. There’s a lot of events going on in Vihang’s life, but I wish he acted smartly instead of being driven to emotions. Shaira, on the other hand seemed to be quite depressed all of the times. Its a pure YA contemporary and if you are interested in simple Indian romance, you can go for it.
What if it's you?: An unusual digital-age love story by Mitali Meelan
This is a Cinderella retelling with role reversal set in modern days India.A movie star returned to her home town. Society and so called "Fame" have taken away the peaceful life from her. She all wants right now is a simple life. In a Bookstore she hides a letter and asks for an email friendship. The boy who finds this letter doesn't have a peaceful life either. His step-mother and step-bother have bossed his life .
This is a contemporary romance fiction ,which is different from typical love story. The storytelling is great. Author has created every character with great details which is admirable. It's a short ,engaging and nice book.
What if it's you by Mitali Meelan is a Cinderella fairytale in Indian contemporary context. The book is about a 19 year old girl who is a movie star. She now returns to her hometown for completing her education and taking a bread from the film industry.
Shaira now wants to live a low-key life here away from her fame and success. She meets Vihang, who finds her book where she has hidden a note. The book is filled with cute romance and funny moments in between. Like a perfect rom-com movie and popcorn.
If you are a person who's just started reading and want to get a hang on reading, then this book is for you. It's simple and easy to understand plus it's a very light and fun read.
Summing up what I felt about this book is actually quite a task. This book was a rollercoaster ride of emotions and left me smiling at some moments and teary at others. The emotions, which the author has infused into the story, made my connection with the characters really strong and just made me want to know more. The language of the book, the way the characters develop, the manner and the pace at which the plot unravels, it's all amazing and shows the expertise of the author in weaving plain words with emotions and making it all into a beautiful story.
.
The idea which forms the foundation of the whole story, is quite unique and fascinating that is in a world where everyone is attracted to the glamorous and fast paced life, someone looking for a peaceful and simple escape through one's love for a book and searching for someone to share it with and for someone to connect to. I would definitely recommend this book to all the readers looking for a quick light read laiden with emotions.
"What if minds met first, and then the faces? Would love look different?"
✉️Vihang who is struggling with his messed up life, family issues and bullies at college, comes across a letter, in a book, from an anonymous girl looking for an email buddy. Finding it intriguing, he decides to reply to the letter. Shaira, on the other hand, is a fairly popular girl(a big screen movie star), looking for a normal life and searching for someone to open up to. So when destiny puts them together, a beautiful and unusual love story starts to build.
✉️Sounds like every other romance novels , right? Bamnn. Its not . It's a Cinderella retelling. Role reversed. ✉️We have our guy whose life is pretty shite. We have a step mother. And we have a girl who is a celebrity. And and and and we have "life ke Siyappe."
✉️This book reads like a Bollywood movie but somehow the concept felt too damn real. Mind connects. But what if the face doesn't? This "what if " has pierced so many hearts out there . It's just sad. ✉️But this novel is full of hope. One of my friend said that after reading this book she felt like one could really look forward to fall for someone even though they are from two different universe.
✉️A simple yet elegant story written in a fairytale style, What If It's You by Mitali Meelan, revolves around two souls who weren't pretty happy with the sort of the lives they'd been living but when they happen to meet each other in an unheard of way, lives just take the much awaited turn. ✉️It's destiny. No one can escape their destiny and fate. Not even Geralt of Rivia. Not vihang, not Shaira. Not even me.
What if it's you? by Mitali Meelan is a Cinderella retelling with role reversal where the boy is the one who needs saving. Apart from the swapping of gender roles, the story is set in a completely different desi setting where our protagonists are Indian. The book follows the journey Shaira, a 19-year-old celebrity and Vihang, a simple and good natured boy with a cruel step mother. The story is all about the hardships their love has to face because of the class differences in between.
I absolutely adore the cover but unfortunately the story didn't reach out to me. I didn't enjoy the characters as individuals and their dynamic wasn't interesting enough for me to hard-core ship them. The chemistry was dull and made the story even less interesting. The pacing of the story was fine but as it progressed, it felt rushed without any development. The ending wasn't good either. Even though the characters weren't developed much, I think a lot of teens would be able to relate to them. The narrative is easy flowing which makes the book easy to read.
It was a one time read for me but I would recommend it to teenagers and people who are looking for light and breezy teenage romance.
What if it's you is modern retelling of Cinderella with role reversal. Vihang, our main character who is oppressed by his step mother and bullied in college, found a letter in a book deep hidden in a bookstore. And that's from where his story starts. He starts emailing that email mentioned in letter and become email buddies without revealing identities. He doesn't know he's talking to Shaira, a multimillionaire celebrity, who in her heart is lonely and desperately needs a friend. What happens when their identities are revealed? What will be their reaction? You really will have to read the book to know I really loved the way this role reversal is written. A modern retelling, a tale written for today's world. Storyline and narrative of both main characters is really hooking and intriguing. Different parts in the story like treasure hunt and party were really a treat to read. Characters are written so well that one can really imagine them while reading. I didn't feel bored or confused even for a minute. A very refreshing read indeed. Cover and title are so aptly designed, they give out the quirky look which fits the story.
What if it’s You? by Mitali Meelan was a gender-swap on the classic tale of Cinderella that we have all grown up on. I was a bit hesitant going into the book because retellings of fairytales, that I enjoyed as a kid, is kind of a make-it or a break-it situation. But I am so happy to state that this book flew past my expectations! I absolutely loved this story and simply devoured it. In this story the roles are reversed - we have Vihang who has a cruel stepmother and Saira who is a famous movie star. Their love story is quite an unconventional one and their HEA too also seems to be likewise. I really liked that the author has included a very modern literary conclusion to the story – with an open and ambiguous end. I am also very eager to see what the future holds for these two characters. As such, this was a very plot-driven novel and I love the character transformations that occurred especially in regards to their relationship with one another and how it affected their emotional well-beings. The book also covered a lot of themes; some of the most important ones were that of illusions and image, friendship and self-discovery. Regarding the other characters, the stepmother was the epitome of the stereotypical cruel one that is so often found in fairytales, both classic or otherwise. As for the stepbrother of Vihang, Chetan - I do believe that he perhaps could have been better had he not been influenced by his mother and had his own understanding warped. But what can I say about the father – on the one hand, I absolutely hated how he treated his own blood and would rather believe a woman he met later on; and on the other hand, I can understand this very human folly on the part of his emotional attachment towards the new wife. I quite enjoyed this book and I rate it a 4/5 stars.
Achieving a fame and losing your peaceful life is like being alone in dark.
What If It's You by Mitali Meelan is a retelling story of Cinderella with role reversal set in contemporary India. This story is of Vihang, a 20-year-old guy who gets bullied in college and bossed around at home by his stepmother and stepbrother. Whatever his life gave him, he accepted it. Shaira a 19 year old movie star had traded her childhood for fame and success but now she craves for a simple college life and deeper friendships that would go beyond flattery and fakeness. So finally, she returns to her hometown to finish her education. The town, however, gives her everything. After she entered college life, everything went smoothly. A day comes where she hides a letter in a bookstore and ask the recipient to be her pen pal. She kept a hope to find one meaningful trustworthy friendship in the old beach town of South Goa. She wanted to find a unique mysterious friend so she added only one condition for her recipient to follow. And that condition was not to reveal their identity until they form a strong bond of friendship first. Whom did this letter received? What was the reaction when they met? Many question arrives in this story after this condition.
What if hearts met first and then the faces? Would love look different? These hints were eye catching and made the story more interesting. Language was simple and lucid. Narration was quite easy to understand the whole story. Characters didn't created a Chaos. This whole story contained one condition which has made it more interesting. Title and the cover matched the concept. Overall it was a pretty simple modernized read.
Recommended to the reader's who love contemporary stories.
There are two things in this book I really liked. The cinderella retelling bit and the meeting because of a book bit. Sadly, those were the only two things. This is a cinderella retelling in the modern world with rolse reversed. We follow Vihang and Shaira. Vihang taking the place of cinderella in the story. He is bullied at college and lives in an abusive home, desperate to find an escape from the hardships in his life. Shaira a big screen movie star, who never had a childhood or anything beyond a superficial life, desperate for a friendship that runs deeper than just shallow river. She slips a note into a book, with an anonymous email, hoping someone would pick it up and guess who does? Vihang. They start communicating and soon find each other to be an escape from the world they don't want to live in and start falling for each other. This was a very generic love story, with very predictable plot points. Another book that made me feel indifferent. Maybe because I find most romances predictable and still looking for that one which will blow my mind away, but sadly this wasn't it. My search continues. The writing was somehow okay, and it was funny at parts but other than that a very forgettable story. You may enjoy this book if you want something light and fluffy and swoon worthy. I guess I wasn't looking for something like this. But if you are an avid romance reader, this book might be for you.
It's an unusual digital age love story. A retelling of fairy tale Cinderella. The main characters around whose the story revolves is named as Vihaan and Shaira. Shaira a 19 year old big screen movie star who now lounges for a normal life, returns to her hometown to complete her education and take a break from her movie buzzed life. She is in search of meaningful friendship, hides a note into her favour book in a library, and ask the person who finds it to becoming her virtual friend, basically an email pal.
Where's Vihaan is living a life totally opposite of her. Finds the note and became her e-pal. He is always been bullied in college and also at home by his step brother and mother who tortures him like anything. They both leads a lonely life of their own but they are very different from each other in respect of social status, thinking and approach. The story is about they find out each other while residents in same place and going to very same college.
There's a lot more in this story, it has touch of friendship, love, family values and abandoned love, betrayals and also some societal issues. The author has very well narrated the story in two forms. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The cover is pretty and the title is interesting enough to read the story. The language is easy and narration is lucid and fast paced. I liked the characters mentioned. Yes definitely recommending for a light and smooth read.
I have always loved Cinderella Stories because they give a message of always going through the hardest and standing up for yourself when your life falls apart, also it makes me believe in true love. This is a Cinderella retelling story as the Author already mentions in the book and the roles of the gender has been reversed. Although a Cinderella retelling, this one is a modern one, the one happening in the 21st century. Shaira who is a famous Indian actress doesn't find herself comfortable to be who she is with her friends and other companions and finds that one true pal with whom she can be herself. She puts in a letter in her favorite bookstore and wishes to find a penpal with whom she can talk about anything without being judged. Vihang who stays with his bitchy step mother and egoistic step brother suffers in the hands of those two as they take away his relationship with his father. However, vihang finds the letter and the penpals soon fall in love. How the story unfolds next is what will make you really interested in reading this book at one go. For every Cinderella Story I have already noticed that the ones who are in the shoes of bearing the burden of suffering has already been in love with their partners way before they even had a talk as a stranger. Vihang was already in love with shaira before she became his penpal. Destiny just brought them together with a little adventure.
The story revolves around Vihang and Shaira where Vihang is surrounded by tragedy, from his step mother’s torment to get bullied in college altogether forges him to suffer, a fleck of light materializes in his life when he discovers a letter while flipping through a book in a bookstore. . . On the other hand, Shaira, a big screen movie star since childhood, returns to her hometown to finish her education, being widely known because of her dashing fame, people treat her differently but she yearns for a simpler life and a true friend, the reason why she hides a letter in a bookstore which later Vihang discovers, in the letter she asks the recipient to be her email buddy without revealing each other’s identities. . . I am so glad to have ended the year reading this lovely retelling of Cinderella set in contemporary India, to start with it is more than just a love story, here author highlighted Vihang's suffering which isn't dark or hurting rather funny, the dramas between Vihang and his step mother is quite entertaining. I loved the way story developed gradually and things unfold, also that it focused on many other things along with the delightful chemistry between the two made it amusing to read, though it isn't a new concept but despite of the fact I felt nice to read something light and ordinary and enjoyed it as well. Overall a good read.💛
A crisp, cute, stylish, new-age digital love story is what Mitali has taken in hand for her next book. The plot, the characters, the emotions are all so perfect that you will be in a very good zone while reading this book.
Mitali has a unique way of portraying love through her words which keeps us, the readers spell-bound. Keep up the same spirit, Mitali.
Vihang & Shaira - a cute pair who have their own share of roller-coster rides in their lives, finally cross each others’ path, courtesy digital era. The part which caught my attention is the adventure or the so called treasure-hunt. This is a very unique idea, though and it worked out very well for them.
I personally enjoyed each and every word of the book. The story touches your heart in such a way that you will travel along without knowing you are doing so. I would rate it as one of the best modern-era love stories I’ve read. The ending was pretty special and I liked it a lot. There’s not a better way to end such a dramatic love story.
Overall, a perfect, near-classical love story and a must read one for all!
A good way to start the year 2020. No year is complete without reading your works I guess, Mitali.. Way to go! All the best for your future works and looking forward to read them.
Many a times fame takes away the receiving of real friendship and care. People get inclined to us for the glamourous world we live in. But this story takes us in such a situation where he lives of the hero and the heroine are very contrasting to each other.
Shaira is very popular , she craves for simplicity that someone likes her for what she is in the core and not due to her fame. And Here is vihag who is engrossed in arguments with his step ma . He is not popular ,often gets thrashed .
He suddenly one day finds a secret letter inside a book which later on opens a gate , gate to a lovely new world. How is Shaira related to that ? Who is her email buddy ? Can love really happen if you donot know them by their looks , background but just knowing them through a online portal ?
Lovely smile story with sweet emotionally gripping plot . Sometimes funny sometimes more on the teenage years vibes. Cute pretty cover . Smooth pace and naration .
People who like contemporary romance books with young protagonists for light and fun read , who like Writer Chetan bhagat , Durjay Dutta's books can check out.
The story was not much different from the general romance that I often come across. So, I was pretty indifferent the whole read. Let me tell you now that I am not a fan of romantic reads because they are more often disappointing with the same old clichés. The book was a cliché too, with the over the top dialogues and unrealistic scenarios. So maybe, this wasn’t ideal for me. The language is simple and lucid. There are funny moments which was refreshing. It is a light read, good for beginners or ardent romance fans. The underlying concept of the book is how people are looking for a simplistic relationship without complications of looks, prejudices and society to ruin it, thereby creating an alternate world where hearts talk and not the faces. This is one concept I agree with because what I hate more than a clichéd romance are clichéd characters with goddess like beauty and greek god like chiselled looks. So, the roundabout way of the book where looks are kept aside and feelings are concentrated upon is what makes this book worth picking up.
i liked the character of Rui best. She was funny and had a great sense of sarcasm. She is my kinda character.
Hi bookish nerds! I hope y'all are doing well and how's this year treating you? This is my first review post of #2020. Thank you alpha influencers for this review copy. What if it's you by Mitali Meelan is of YA genre and has all the apt ingredients to lure the readers who like to read this genre. What if it's you is a retelling of Cinderella with a role reversal. Vihang is living with a stepmom and is not really having a life to be called life on the other hand Shaira is living her dream life after achieving fame at a very young age she is looking for a peaceful and prosperous life. The way they got in touch with eachother is another interesting part of this book which kept me hooked. The girl left a note in a book where she described herself briefly and it was found by the boy and they had a virtual connection. What will be the future aspects of this connection? Where will this fateful journey lead to? Can we expect the unexpected? To find out the answers you have to flip through the pages of Mitali Meelan's : What if it's you!?
My word of final verdict is you'll love it if young adult is your genre, definitely recommending this to YA fans.
What if hearts met first and then the faces? Would love look different?
A very beautifully written story which can also be called as modern retelling of Cinderella set in contemporary India. But there's a twist in this retelling. Not only the times it's based in, here the roles are reversed too. 19 year old Shaira, a successful actor is the Prince of our story and 20 year old Vihang who is troubled by his step mother and step sister is our Cinderella.
Love is often found in unexpected places. In this story too, Vihang and Shaira find each other in unexpected ways. Shaira, a successful actor returns to India so that she can complete her education and enjoy a normal life. But will her fame let her live a normal life? In a quest to find atleast one genuine friend she writes a letter and hides it in a bookstore. Vihang finds her letter and they soon become email buddies. They become each other's escape and don't even realise when they fell in love.
The story is very engaging and emotional. The characters are very realistic and well written. The starting of the story only is so beautiful that it kept me hooked till the very end.
What if it's you? by Mitali Meelan is a Cinderella retelling with roles reversed and a desi setting. Here, it's the boy who needs to be saved from his cruel and mean step-mother.
Shaira is a 19-year old young and famous movie star who has now returned to her hometown to take a break from her stardom and complete her higher education. She now wants to live a low-key life here in this small town away from the fame and success. She loves reading books and it is through one of this books that she gets to know Vihang. Vihang is a 20-year old young and hardworking boy who manages to get things he needs in the hard way. He lost his mother at a young age and his father remarried later. His step mother is harsh to him and makes him do all the work. He is bullied is college as well but gets saved with the help of his friend Rui. Though I absolutely loved the cover and the blurb (Cinderella retelling with Indian MC!) but the story didn't do any wonders for me. It felt the usual love story kind of. The character development could have been better. There dynamics was also lacking a spark. However, I did loved the writing. It wasn't out of the blue or very extraordinary; but it was good. The start sounded promising, but the ending seemed to be very rushed. Even though, I do feel this might be one of those books you could read in a day; or you could read if you have just started reading. The narrative and language used is easy, and that makes the book quite easy to read as well. I would recommend it to people looking for a light, breezy read.
◆︎ Vihang and Shaira are two teenagers who come in contact with each through a letter which Shaira writes and hides it in one of the books in a library.
◆︎ On finding the letter Vihang skeptically responds back to Shaira anonymously through email. Belonging to contrasting family backgrounds and lifestyle, but finding common ground through the book, a interesting virtual friendship blossoms. How will they react when their identities are revealed? Will they be accepting?
◆︎ The story is a modernized version of the fairytale Cinderella, with reversed roles, in this case Vihang is the one who is tortured by his cruel step mother and egoistic step brother and Shaira is a television star whose life is as glamorous as it gets, but longs for a more simple life.
◆︎ Even though I expected the ending to be similar to the fairytale Cinderella, it wasn't the same which kinda makes this story unique.
◆︎It's a very fun and a easy read, perfect for those who love to read fairytales or fairytale re-tellings.
What if it's you is a young adult fiction and is also has subtitle A Cinderella Retelling with Role Reversal, but it isn't that simple to recreate a story with role being reversed so i liked the concept of the plot, but plot lack the uniqueness that Cinderella story had.
The mind always goes into comparison mode while reading such stories, but as a stand alone young adult fiction, the plot is above average.
Narration is good in the beginning but is being dragged towards the end portion of the novel, characters however are created keeping in mind the reverse characters of Cinderalla story and that is done pretty well.
There are elements of love, emotions, family, friendships which are being carried in an amazing way, which also adds to positive point of the book.
The book has a captivating cover with a compelling title which made me pick up this book.
Overall the story is very cute as I am someone who finds sweet romantic fiction as fancy, so this is good for a light read.
Sometimes reading heavy book can be daunting. Mitali Meelan’s book ‘What if it’s You?’ came to me when I was surrounded by some of the heavy reads. And I was desperately searching for a beautiful romantic read. Thank goodness, I got to read it. Reading it felt like a breath of fresh air.
This beautifully written story can also be called Cinderella's contemporary Indian modern narrative, with a twist. Yes, this modern retelling has reversed roles, which again turned out to be the star of the story. I was from the very start hooked to this book.
Mitali Meelan knows how to keep her readers engaged. She very artfully crafted every detail of the book; from the cover to the characters. What I most loved about this book was it’s compelling narrative style and the interesting characterisations.
I highly recommend this fast paced, super engrossing book to all Fairytales fan. This Cinderella retelling is going to sweep you off your feet.
It's A Beautiful retelling of a Classic Tale; and it's written so intricately that you can't even get your finger to the revelation it's a Retold story.
This book is in POV of Vihang who is our simple, hard working, always in trouble or crisis guy and Shaira who is a silver screen star, rich and has no obstacle to hinder her fairy tale. With all the emotional aspect; gripping plot, well written dialogues and lucid language; this book makes an upcoming YA.
Although the author leaves us on a cliffhanger; I am quite impressed with the sort of HAPPY ending and equally anxious for the next book. There times when I really wanted to cry, but didn't cause it didn't touch my soul; and at times I just Wanted to slap some sense in Vihang to stop taking shit from his family and friends and to just take his defensive stance.
For young/teens who read YA books by handsome famous Indian authors😅.
What if it's you? by Mitali Meelan is a retelling of Cinderella but with role reversal set in modern India. Shaira, a 19-year-old celebrity has come back home to live a simple life, away from all the chaos of film industry and media scrutiny.
Vihang, on the other hand, has a completely different lifestyle from her. He lives with his step mom and his father is always away for business. His step mom is cruel and evil as one could be. He does all the cleaning, cooking, all kinds of household chores, a part time job while managing his studies too.
It's a engaging story and a fast paced book. You would want to know what's going to happen after every chapter. The way they met and get to know each other was interesting to witness. I also liked Vihang and Rui's friendship. But I think everything was rushed by the end and there were things that left we wandering with a why? And the plot was also easy and predictable, basically nothing out of ordinary.
If you are new into reading and looking for a light and easy read, you can go for it.
If you are a fan of fairytales or like reading about it I will definitely recommend this book to you. This is a Cinderella retelling but there is reverse in the role. The boy Vihang here in the story is the original Cinderella about which we all know step mother and the sibling relation. The main character Shaira a big star having returned to her hometown and having no friends comes out with a very unique method of connecting. She hides a letter in a book at a bookstore and just needs a friend who will be interested in email friendship. Luckily Vihang picks up that book. She has written in the letter that they will meet after the know a lot about each other. The characters are lovable and well developed. Language is simple to understand.
Isn't it a fascinating idea letter hiding? Will they ever meet? If they meet will looks matter?
" What if hearts met first and then the faces? Would love look different?" From the first page, When I read those three lines, I knew this story is going to take my heart with its discerning story lines. So, here I go.
Writing style and story lines impressed me a lot. Author has power to attract her readers by her work. Words are lucid , classy and easy to understand for new readers. All main and sub characters are well developed and defined with time. Narrations are from two aspects depending on chapter.
Cover is good , Title is impressive . Those 290 pages consist a lot which is exactly "A Cinderella Retelling with Role Reversal" how its subtitle suggests! A highly recommended book for everybody specially for young readers.
A Cinderella Retelling with Role Reversal, first I wonder why this was mention. When I proceed forward and understood that it's Cinderella of modern time. Two people meeting through a letter. One is an actress and the guy is something who is neglected by his step-mother and step -son. Both of them meet through a letter in which an email id was mentioned.
The book was an amazing love story, not like the typical love story which we have read in many books. I loved the writing style of Author. An easy read and can complete this in one sit. This was my last read of 2019. The characters are well described and beautifully executed. I highly recommend this book to all.
What If It's You? ✨ A mashup of romance and fantasy, it is a refreshing tale of Vihang and Shaira who find each other in unexpected ways. A modern era Cinderella retelling, Shaira is a successful actor, the Prince of our story and Vihang, a troubled guy is the princess. The beautiful way in which they both meet in a bookstore is another thing which I really liked about this story. The family antics, the way the story matures the characters into well developed individuals is really beautiful. 🌸 What If It's You? By @mitalimeelan

Did you imagine yourselves to be one of the Disney characters when you were growing up? Well i did! And i always wanted to be Hannah Montana! But i don't think i would have ever survived it! Why? Because it is really hard for them to live a simple life again! And it is clearly portrayed here! Amazing and sweet! ♥️
A contemporary fairy tale written in quite a captivating way. The plot is very similar to that of Cinderella which makes it a little predictable and hence boring at times. Otherwise the narration is gripping with perfectly bendable characters in the story. People who enjoy romance genre will love this book
