The Judah Black Novels

Rate this book

Agent Judah Black doesn’t know when to quit.

When vampires, werewolves, and fae came out to the world ten years ago, personal tragedy drove her to join BSI—the Bureau of Supernatural Investigations.

But something sets Judah apart from every other BSI agent. Her teenage son is an unregistered werewolf, and she’ll do anything to protect him. In an age when supernaturals are forced to live on reservations and treated as second-class citizens, that’s dangerous.

Of course, that’s exactly where her new assignment, is: The Paint Rock Supernatural Reservation, and her first case is already making her unpopular with the locals. The whole town is ready to sweep the murder of a young werewolf under the rug as if it never happened.

To solve the case, Judah will have to win the trust of the people around her, and face down an ancient enemy straight out of Native American legends.

In Blood Debt, Judah must navigate an decades old blood feud between vampire clans. A gristly double homicide could spark an all-out war with Paint Rock as ground zero. That is, if the victims would stay dead.

Chasing Ghosts follows Judah in her race against time to solve a supernatural virus threatening the life of a child. As tensions in the reservation rise to an all-time high, and her newfound family falling apart at the seams, can Judah find the cure in time?

The emergence of a dangerous cult near Paint Rock is connected to an act of arson in Playing with Fire. Sifting through the ashes places Judah at the center of a government cover-up, one that will challenge everything she thought she knew about BSI. But knowing too much is dangerous business. Solving this case could cost Judah her life.

Well, I'm still reading book one of the box sets. I like it very much and normally reading all the books at once... I can't do that right now. My mind is very jumpy and causing my attention to go into other places. Medical issues, again, have jumped into every thought. You would think that reading would take your mind away. Not this time.
So, instead of writing a review now I'm going to wait till I finish all four books. That's the least I can do for a Great Writer! Book One has lived up to all the goodness E.A. Copen can offer. I will continue on Judah's journey after I can get my head on straight.

I'm really not sure why these books haven't 'sold out'

Yes, I know eBooks don't 'sell out' but these books are far too good IMO to have languished for so long. They are well and truly well up there in entertainment and a unique take on the supernatural.
They are certainly in my top 50 reads of the 250 or so titles I have read in the last 12 months.
Thank you lmbpn for bringing them to my attention and many thanks to the author for such a great read to both end one year and start another.

I wish I could have given these 5 stars, but

I was so excited to find this series and it was really good until the about the last half of book 3 . It just started to get really depressing . Seems every body was sick ,dying or wanted to kill themselves . The MC just got to be to depressing to the point I thought this just HAS GOT to get better ,alas it just got worse then ended.
Is there a 5 book?
Did I miss that there was another coming out?
Oh well I am over with this series, I put it down took a Xanax and sent to sleep.

I love this series. Judah Black, her world, her people - inspiring from start to finish. In todays “climate change” and terrorism, finding a great book (yet alone a series!) is very hard. The Judah Black Novels ceased my attention from the first paragraph to the last word.
To the author I say, you did good and thank you!

More please?!

I really enjoyed this perspective on paranormal/preferential creatures, and I need more. What happens to Judah? What's her real name? Why does Dick have her in TX? I have to know.

More Judah please

Good story. Good world building. Judah is an agent in a world where supernaturals have come out. Her struggles to keep her family and friends safe catch you up and don't let you go

A great story told thru four books

And I spent three days with Judah Black and her extended family and unlikely friends because reality kept interfering with my time to read. I still want to learn more. Hopefully there’ll be another one or more. A great read.
