Daniel provides insight to the exile of Israel after the Babylonian conquest. Christ's saving work is evident as Daniel and his three friends escape death. The last portion of the book dealt with prophecy. It is comforting to know that all kingdoms of this world are temporary and our true King is guiding us from heaven.

Even Nebuchadnezzar, the king who conquered most of the world around 586 B.C., acknowledged the true God. This came after he lost his mind for a few years. We must remember that those who acknowledge the true God may not believe in His saving work! (2nd Reading)

A visitor from heaven came to Daniel to describe in detail the end of the world. We do not know when the world will end. We can be assured that those who love God will enjoy life with Him and those that have not time for Him will live condemned and eternally separate. (3rd Reading)
