Roper takes a practical approach to law office management. "Checklists," "How to" features and quotes from practicing paralegals emphasize the " self-management" style of the text. Clear explanations and many illustrations further reinforce chapter material. "Know Your Ethics" sections offer hypothetical scenarios that pose ethical dilemmas for students to consider. A computer emphasis provides clear coverage of computers and law office management software programs reinforced by hands-on exercise.
I have to read for class and discussion but believe the list for legal team is outdated or some roles are combined into one job title [based on job interview for legal Secretary in 2014 had the role/title of receptionist; mail and copy clerk and soon to be like paralegal role]. however written in layman terms and easy to understand the material thus far.
The only complaint discussed in class was that the book was quite outdated and didn't like the ProLaw activities because it was not a recent version.
