Trapped together on an uninhabited Caribbean island and hunted by a killer, can Haylee & Jax survive long enough to confess their feelings?
While on assignment for Viper Force, Haylee, a former Navy Seabee sharpshooter, barely lived through an "accident" in Mexico. When someone tries to finish her off while she's recovering in rehab, she begs her secret crush and fellow Seabee Chief, Jax, to get her out of the country.
Jax fell for Haylee months ago and while he knows she can't stand him, he'll do whatever it takes to keep her safe. A cat and mouse chase sends them fleeing on a cruise ship then in a small plane.
Their plane is sabotaged, and they crash-land in the sea. Washed ashore on an uninhabited island with the Maestro hot on their tail, they must play a Robinson Caruso game of survival. Each booby trap adds risk but brings them closer to revealing the Maestro's identity.
With Haylee injured, it'll take their combined military experience to survive, all while fighting an attraction for each other they're helpless to resist.
And with the final battle looming, only the victors will escape the island.

Heat is on! Marlie steps up the game kicking ass and calling the shots, blazing through on a raging inferno, ratcheting up the thrill, fusing this bad boy together sleek shiny and tight. Sparks fly as drama, intrigue, tension, underlying currents, turmoil, danger, mounting suspense and precarious situations, along with a boatload of trouble, while dodging sinister intentions, you have one mind-blowing masterpiece. Anarchy, escapades and havoc run amuck, kicking this jewel into a raging tempest, blasting it into a tailspin with a life-altering realization. She cranked my tractor with this piece of perfection, showcasing such impressive talent, fervor and a unique insight for detail, hooking you from start and reeling you in for the duration. A surging vortex of baffling circumstances and fevrent events, pulls every emotion running rampant, bursting it into play explosively. Heating up the chemistry, elevating the attraction, witnessing the sizzle flowing through the pages, alluring and mesmerizing, grounding in it's strength and awe-inspiring in it's depth. The characters are complex and authentic with depth and traits that blend and flow, transforming into genuinely relatable personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions creating a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Remarkable job Marlie, thanks for sharing this little treasure with us.

RECKLESS is the third book in the Viper Force series. Though it will stand on its own, it is better if you have read the previous books to know the overarching storyline of the Maestro.

I’m going to sum up this review in two words: READ IT! Read the series; read the book. The suspense, the action is non-stop from the injection of potassium into Haylee’s IV until…. Yea, I’m not giving that spoiler!

Along the way, Jax and Haylee finally admit that those cookies she bakes, and he wants, have always been a way of saying, “I like you.”

This was an excellent addition to the Viper Force series, and I am looking forward to more from the team.

Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC via Booksprout, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Buckle Up for Non Stop Action & Romance

Viper Force

Marie May gives us the third book in the Crescent Cove series Viper Force, Reckless, as former Seabees Jax and Kaylee try to escape and outwit the bad guy known as The Maestro. It's a fast-paced, thrill ride of a story, so buckle up.

The story picks up immediately following the end of book 2, Ruthless, with no catch up so somebody who hasn't read the first 2 books in the series might be a bit lost. But if you like lots of action with your sexy romance, you won't want to miss this story. Jax is a fine alpha hero but he's also a bit shy and has no clue how to tell Haylee how crazy he is for her. Kaylee is equally awkward around him. Their HEA is hard earned, for sure.

I heartily recommend this series. It deserves to be read.

Now lying in a coma Jax find a stranger trying to inject something into her IV and as he throws him across the room landing over Haylee and somehow the impact brings her around. The pair go on the run trying to lose those chasing them and end up with false passports on a cruise ship but those wanting Haylee dead will not give up.

Haylee was a military brat. She grew up in ports and bases around the globe, and sometimes outdid herself in pursuit of the attention of her high ranking father and stepmother

After time spent in the Seabees herself, she joins mixed forces security contractor Viper Force. Her connections to this new family will be expanded, tested, shattered and renewed as she works her way through injuries, recovery and the adventures that challenge her after that

Action, adventure and psychological drama and romance

This is about Haylee (former Navy Seabee gunners mate - hurt in a car crash that killed Gabe whist on a Mission) and Jax (Seebee Chief - he has strong feelings for her) Whilst she is recovering from the accident, another attempt is made on her life, so Jax is called in and hides her before another attempt happens that could prove fatal! They run to a deserted island and you guessed it! danger has found them again.Just love this book and series. Cant wait for more!!! Please!!!

Wow, another excellent read to add to this collection. Couldn't put it down. While Haylee was hurt severely in a car crash that killed Gabe on a mission in Cancunn, she was taken back to the states and had been in a coma, but when she woke up she couldn't remember anything, including Gabes death. But when someone tried to kill her in the hospital, Jax took her and they ran. But when they ended up on a deserted island, danger eventually found them. This is another great book in this series. Well written, has plenty of danger, surprises to say the least. You also have the heat. HEA.

Book three in the Viper Force a well written story with a great storyline. This is Viper Force, Haylee, a former Navy Seabee gunner's mate and Seabee Chief, Jax's story. There is suspense, drama, danger, murder, twists, turns, the Maestro who turns out to be closer than they know, and romance. I really did not see the Maestro being that person. Holy crap that was intense. I loved everything about this!! Jax and Haylee had off the charts chemistry. Smoking hot, heart meltingly sweet, and silly banter. Then you add in that they're total bad a**es?? Insanely good. This will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last page.

I had a great time and was highly entertaining with each turn of the page. The characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline flowed smoothly from beginning to the end. Will Jax and Haylee survive a killer? The chemistry is undeniable between them throughout the pages.

Good idea but needed more

The storyline is great but it needed to be edited a little closer.
the one thing bothered me was the way it seemed to lose timed with jumping from present to hours or days unaccounted for and usually during interesting times in which you want to know how did they go from this situation to that one

real interesting

It was a good story

Military romance where both are in the military are hard to find. That is what I was looking for. The story was good. But I think the author got too carried away with all the life threatening drama every three pages.

Enjoyed the series. Seems to have gotten better towards the end. Felt like it was someone close to them, but I was still surprised. Great job.
