Never, ever in a million years did I think I would read and work through a book on advanced statistical analysis. This textbook is not one you just sit down and read on an idle Saturday or while on vacation unless you happen to also be in class. However, I found the book extremely helpful in understanding the different types of statistical analysis - when to use, underlying assumptions, required researcher decisions, interpretation of results, and pitfalls. I suspect that I will come back to this textbook many times in the future because of its focus on the principles of analysis and not the inner workings of statistical software. For the statistical software setup, youtube is quite sufficient.
