I have very little patience for “the secret of my success” kind of books. Most are egotistic and no help in the end. This is not that kind of book. It contains the stories of 10 successful individuals, yes, but it is more inspiring than anything else.
Those 10 people are not “captains of industry” either. Each of their stories was fascinating, including the mother of a child with special needs turned entrepreneur. In all cases each had overcome incredible challenges, like the guy whose Pakistani client put a gun to his head and ordered him to lower his product’s price. I said all of that to say this: this is not your usual “be successful like me” sort of book.
I thought the book would bore me to tears. After all, I had owned my own consulting firm. Quite the contrary, I couldn’t put it down. It was truly entertaining and, like I said, inspiring. Five Stars hands down!
