I read the kindle version of this (edit: the version I read was a cheap image based version. It seems a newer kindle version has been released) which was quite a challenge. Each page was duplicated, so reading it in landscape mode was next to impossible. In portrait mode it was necessary to skip every other page which was doable, but took some getting used to.
The book seems to be geared towards those reasonably comfortable with Greek and Latin. The text of Revelation is given in Greek and only occasionally translated. When Swete quotes early commentaries, such as those by Andreas and Bede, he quotes them in the original without translation. So I missed out on a lot because I don’t know Latin.
This really is a must read for those serious about studying Revelation. It seems to me that it is foundational to many later commentaries. At any rate in my reading Swete is often referred to, and rarely are any earlier commentaries referred to with great frequency.
