I cried too much over this book. It broke me in ways I didnt think possible. wtf Strayer. 3 stars as it's the only way I survived that class. not the worst pillow and very tear absorbent
I stayed up late to read this, poured hours of studying and looking over this. Though this book will forever be connected to bad memories, I truly did enjoy reading this book. History has always been really interesting to me, and I loved jumping around the world learning about people's different histories and cultures.
My teacher did point out that this book is written by two white males, so the "world" history part and views may be a little skewed. I do know that they got some of the facts wrong when going over my culture.
why does this author write in such a convoluted way? bro will start writing about an event at the beginning of the chapter and not say anything about its significance until the end of the chapter, how i am supposed to take notes 😭😭
DNF @633 I didn’t need to finish the whole thing lol, it’s review time now 🙏🏾 It lost a star cause the amount pages we were assigned to read left me with so many sleepless evenings 😭😭
did i choose to read this? no. was it boring? yes. was it interesting at times? maybe. will i ever read something like this again? absolutely not. but i still read it for school so it counts.
Parts of this book were helpful, but it took WAY TOO MUCH brainpower to read. I'm never doing that again. Finally done after 2 years of AP World History!!!
