Tune in to tune up for challenges and entertainment
Authors collectively titled Game Nest (much like Activity Nest!) have created a fine, new collection of ‘game books’ that restore that need to make entertainment educational! Their instructions for fine games to pass the time could not be better timed. These books are just the ticket for making time at home to be both fun and learning experiences. Their game books to date include BRIDGE FOR BEGINNERS, CRYPTOGRAMS, YAHTZEE, BUNCO, and 5 CROWN SCORE SHEETS, BIBLE WORD SEARCH 101 PUZZLES, SUDOKU PUZZLES, and now WORD SEARCH PUZZLES – their latest addition to their commitment to keeping our brains exercised and free time productive!
WORD SEARCH puzzles have become a favorite pastime, especially during periods of isolation such as we are experiencing at present. For first timers, the authors explain, ‘We provide 101 different word searches to help you boost your problem solving skills while having fun!...30 words are hidden in each puzzle. Words overlap, and can be in any direction – horizontal, vertical, diagonal, from left to right or right to left, form top to bottom or bottom to top. Circle the words you find and cross them off the list as you go!’ The topics range form adjectives of people, adverbs of time, astronomy, sports, biology, car parts, camping and many more subjects. The ‘solutions’ are offered at book’s end.
Given that set of instructions, what follows is a list of puzzles that challenge as well as entertain- just the sort of tasking that calms the mind from the events of the world at present!
I received a free copy of this book and found it to be challenging and fun. I enjoy word search books and was surprised when words didn't immediately jump out at me on the very first page. Luckily, I found the following pages a bit easier. All of this is to say, the book is sufficiently challenging for an adult without being too much so, or too simple. I think older kids will enjoy it too.
I liked this book. There are over 109 word search, each with a theme. I liked the large print and the fact it has an answer key. If you like word searches I’m sure you will have fun with this book.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
