This book really sugar coats the reality of abortion. Howe interviews clinic workers and women but never even mentions the aborted babies. The clinic the author visited was one of the chain owned by an abortionist who lost his license botching an abortion and for killing a teenager He had many malpractice suits. The spokesperson from Planned Parenthood told the author that he was doing well at "providing good services to women." The author presents him as a really great guy. It's a very one-sided portrayal of what happened in an abortion clinic. Yet she did convey that many of the women coming in for abortions felt they had no other choice because of life circumstances. There was an overall feeling of sadness in the book.
