Damon Nightshade leads his kingdom with an ironclad fist. One hundred years too soon, his time is almost up.
Like everyone born in the belly of the Wilds, Damon has a beast sealed within his body. He is a rare white panther shifter—and a dangerous one at that. But unbeknownst to many, the king's body has rejected his animal from day one. The medicine he relies on is losing its effectiveness.
Soon the beast will consume his humanity—and once that happens, nothing can save him.
Needless to say, Damon gave up on love a long time ago. But everything changes when the kingdom's Oracle unveils a prophecy determined to pull his heart back into the ring.
Damon orders his men to find his fated mate. He never expects them to return with two.
Weace—a Fae whose golden heart and sizzling touch melts Damon's icy heart. Levi—a Siren with an angelic voice and steamy kiss that emboldens Damon's spirit.
The attraction and chemistry between the three men is instant. Their passion burns like a wildfire, all consuming. The two men's devotion breaks down the king's walls. At long last, Damon can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Seeing the prophecy through will not be easy. Royals vying for the throne creep in the shadows of Damon's castle, and some will stop at nothing to steal his crown. If he isn't careful, Damon will lose his humanity, his throne, and his happily-ever-after with the two men who have captivated his heart.
BLOOD MOON is the second novel in Siring an Heir. Each book follows a different cast of characters from the Nitehelm universe. This story is filled with love, magic, action, steamy m/m(+) scenes, and features harem and mpreg. (Suitable for ages 18+)
Xya Olsen is a MM author who writes wholesome paranormal fantasy romance. Her stories are filled to the brim with love and magic and features fated mates, harem, mpreg, and of course, lots of strong heroes yearning for their happily ever afters.
There was a lot about this book that I didn’t really work for me. A majority of it could be summed up into: lack of character depth, awkward romance and easily solved problems.
I’ll be honest and note that I haven’t been reading as much as normal... you won’t believe it but I’ve actually been taking the time to enjoy some tv and catch up on movies for a change. So when I grabbed this I had hoped it improved from the previous book but unfortunately I kind of wish I had grabbed something else.
I love this series! Even though this is the second book in the series, I think you are okay reading it as a stand-a-lone. Yes we met Damon in the first book as he comes to help Salem and his mates. I loved him from the moment he showed up. Also, he does go over to Salem for help & we only see Cecil. Anyway, Damon is a shifter but his body has rejected his animal and at some point in time, he will shift & never come back. Since birth, he has taken medication to keep things under control. He has spent years looking for his mate & has pretty much given up all hope. When he visits the oracle one more time, she tells him to send out the seekers & there will be success this time. What he doesn't realize that they find two mates. Levi is happy with finding his mate & knows that it will be in a triad. Weace isn't happy, because he didn't come from a happy family. But at least things work out & they fall in love. There was a mystery that was nearly heartbreaking & I hope we find out what becomes of that in future books.

so good.. interesting and fast paced.. kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next.. action and intrigue.. so many amazing things going on in this story and i enjoyed it a lot.
I thought for sure book 2 wouldn’t impress me as much as the first one did. Oh but it did. In fact it impressed me more. Since the author did such an amazing job world building in book 1 we were able to have much more story time for these guys. That included some of their backstory. Plus we got to know Damon’s guards more. Now I want their stories. I hope we get to know all the kingdoms. With the friendships being made I can see some great things coming. Remember though, with all the good comes those who want to take and destroy. I can’t wait to read more and I’m so happy that I was given the chance to get an arc to read. Completely stalking the author now lol.
Delightful romance with intrigue, magic, suspense and action create a wonderful story. The world-building is is amazing and the characters are interesting and their dynamic really draws you in. I loved the different paranormal's that this story brought to the page. The story flowed and the pacing was great. I was really engaged in this story and read it in one sitting.
Damon, Levi and Wease are so unique and different and yet when they are together you could feel the completeness of their relationship. I would love another story about them as they grow in their relationship and as partners.
This is book two of the Blood Moon series and can be read as a stand-alone story. I am so looking forward to the next book. The supporting characters have become special with this story and i want to know more about them.
I was gifted this book from the LesCourt Author Services and i freely give my honest opinion and review.
For those that have read the first one, Damon will be a familiar character. I am very happy to see him get his mates with everything that he had dealt with over his lifetime. Levi is very happy to meet his mates and is looking forward to beginning their life together while Weace has some fears due to his parents. As these three work together, outside forces are attacking them. Will they make it through?
Blood Moon is the second book in the Siring an Heir series by Xya Olsen. The world created on these pages is filled with wonderful chatacters and stories of magic, suspense, action, steam and sweet romance. We also get treated to a triad relationship and an mpreg in this gem of a read. I love Damon, Weace and Levi. I cant wait for the next book.
This is a great second book to this series of M/M RH romance, although it could totally be read alone. I advise reading the first book to get more of the world-building, but you'll still understand and enjoy this book even without reading the first one. This is a fantastic story, with fated mates, court intrigue, suspense, and internal and external pressures. I love the mix of different paranormal species. It was so good to see Damon developed as a character and taking one of the lead roles in this book. I can't wait to see where the author goes next.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
This was one fantastic, incredible, fast paced, action packed, amazing, exciting, grab-you-by-the-feels, poignant, smoking hot, wild, and totally awesome story. It had me hooked from the very first page, and I can't wait to see what happens next.
Everything I was expecting from this continuation of the series was by far exceeded. The amazing world building continues along with more of the backstory from the characters. Action, drama, mystery and political intrigue are very much prevelant as well as a pregnancy that had some magical assistance. I am absolutely in love with this series.
3.5 This is the second book in this series. We met Damon in book one and this is his story. I enjoyed Damon and was glad to see that he was the next to get his story told. Damon comes off as cold and arrogant but from the beginning we see glimpses of the real man that he keeps hidden from the world. Damon has just about given up on finding his fated mate when he is given the gift of not one but two mates. The three are so different but come together well. I enjoyed seeing their relationship take shape. As the men try to find their way they must also deal with enemies and dangers. The author does a good job of mixing the emotions and action. Their story flows nicely and it was nice to see all of the different magic and species involved in this series.
The king is told he needs to find his mate and sire a child to keep his animal contained. He set his men on the task. He is surprised when his mate turns out to be two men.
Damon the King, Levi a Siren, and Wease a Fae quickly realize they are meant to be together and set about creating that child. Not an easy task as they soon find out.
An assassination attempt, a love potion and a Sirens song all figured into this entertaining story. I liked the characters in this story and the quick glimpse of the family from the first book.
I'm really enjoying this series so far. This book has some characters that appeared in Blue Blood but definitely can be read as a standalone book. I like the mixing of different types of paranormal or mythical beings, in this book shifters, fae, siren, angels, and magi to name a few. I really liked the action of the book, but I would have liked to see more of how the relationship between Damon, Levi, and Waece developed. I'm curious about future books in the series and want to see what journeys the author takes us on.
I went into this book blind I hadn’t read the first book but I have to say this book still pulled me in. I was skeptical at first since I’m not big on historical romances and blood moon was giving me that vibe but I stuck with it and fell in love. It’s mmm the chemistry between the mates was easy to read and had me turning the pages.
Will be reading the first book 3.5stars i enjoyed for sure.
