My world has been black and white since Ethan died. Connor is an explosion of screaming color. Can I love Connor and finally be free of my grief...and my guilt?
I didn't think I'd meet flirty Scottish artist Connor May at an exhibit of his own work. I didn't think I'd follow when he pulled me by the hand away from his rabid fans. I didn't think our accidental kiss would stir the butterflies in my chest I haven't felt since losing Ethan.
My feelings are undeniable. But am I falling for Connor, or is he so much like the dead ex-love of my life that I'm still in love with a ghost? I'm all-in when I chase Connor into a thunderstorm for a blistering kiss that leads to more, and I know he loves me, too.
Will Connor feel the same about me when I tell him about my ex--and that it's my fault Ethan died?
Visions of Love is a low-angst contemporary instalove romance. Opposites attract as sparks fly between a grief-stricken grumpy barista and a flirty Scottish artist made of sunshine. They connect in swoony, steamy ways before a guaranteed HEA. It is suggested this series be read in order. Content warnings include: loss of a loved one.
Noah Steele is a gay author based in Toronto, Canada. His books are low angst, dreamy, steamy reads starring queer characters getting the happy endings they deserve. Queerness is strength, and the men at the heart of his books embody that strength without experiencing queerness as a roadblock to happiness.
Like Noah, they're figuring themselves out and thriving in their whirlwind romantic adventures! When he's not writing, Noah is an avid video gamer and gym-goer.
What I love about Noah Steele's writing is he really gets to the heat of his characters. In Visions of Love, Marc, who has trouble letting people in, after having a tragedy occur with his boyfriend, takes center stage for his story. While attending a gallery opening, Marc meets Connor, and feels instantly smitten, as does Connor. Visions takes you on a journey of Marc trying to figure out if he can love again, and Connor working through where he fits in, in Marc's heart. You really feel for both Marc and Connor. I love this world that Noah Steele has created with Cut to the Feeling. Characters from the prior books appear in this one, and I love seeing how strong their group friendship is. Visions of Love is a really lovely insta love story.
I know I said the last book in the series was my favorite (the novella), but I’m now a liar because this one is 100% my new favorite! I mean, it’s mostly because of Connor ❤️ who doesn’t love a sexy Scottish artist? Add in the fact that he’s warm and sunshiney and he’s jus kind of perfect. I was totally looking forward to learning more about the “distant hot nerd” Marc and I was not disappointed at more.
AND Theos preview at the end looks SO good. Here for this.
This is the third full book in the Cut to the Feeling series, and I enjoyed it most of all. I felt that the characters actually have some deeper than surface level development, and the storyline involved more than just the insta-love and obligatory plot twist.
We met Marc in the first book, and he has been a standoffish secondary character in the following books. However, we finally get to learn his story; what happened after that awful date with Aiden, why he dropped out of law school, how he ended up working at Jolt, and why he's so introverted now.
When Marc invited Ollie to an art exhibit by a famous alumni, he never expected the tickets that were left for him to use would lead to his emotional reawakening. While Ollie does his own artistic thing, Marc follows a back hallway and becomes transfixed by the work on display. It is both familiar and not, but as he is perusing, he meets the artist himself, and is whisked away to an abandoned bench. One thing leads to the next, and Marc knows that this man, Connor, has woken something he thought long lost to him.
The relationship progressed nicely, but Marc is not being completely forthcoming about his past with anyone. He's working on it, but he may be too late it he can't undo the damage his omission has done. Connor's one need is to be loved for himself, not for who others perceive him to be. Everything might come crashing down around them just when they both have found what they need.
Of course, there is the obligatory plot twist...famous painter, new boyfriend, lots of followers. You have to read the book to get the story. I wasn't really surprised by what happened, but this is an insta-love romance trope, and this part was pretty formulatic.
In the end, with Conner's ever joyous personality, and Marc's emergence from his emotional prison, the couple and their friends at Jolt have survived yet another whirlwind romance. And, of course, Marc and Connor get their happily ever after.
Happy reading!
* I received an ARC of this book and I am leaving my honest review. *
Noah Steele's Visions of Love, the third book in the Cut to the Feeling series, is a sweet and tender story of healing. Although easily read as a standalone, it's even more enjoyable if you've read the previous books.
Marc is attracted to Connor, the first time he's been attracted to anyone since his husband died. Connor reminds him of his husband, but there's so much more to this attraction. They may start off with a quick kiss, but theirs is a slow developing relationship in the long run, which is a nice twist to the typical insta-love storyline.
Both men have depth to them. Marc is a complex man who has a lot of emotional baggage. Connor, meanwhile, struggles with his fame; just wanting to be liked for himself, not his art. I absolutely love these complex characters.
Their story also involves some crazy fans, horrific nightmares, and some hot moments. There is a whole lot of depth to this story, as Marc struggles with not only grief, but also with guilt and the pain involved with forgiving oneself. The author does a fantastic job, tackling the pain and fear involved with taking a second chance on love with compassion and care.
Visions of Love is a stellar story of forgiving oneself and embracing happiness. It's a lovely story, a total feel-good romance. I am once again impressed with Noah Steele's ability to write emotional characters.
Visions of Love by author Noah Steele is the third book in the Cut to the Feeling Series. This series should be read in order. People we know and love from the previous books are pivotal to understanding this story. This story is written in first-person POV. Not usually my favorite, but I loved it in this series. Marc, he works with the men at Jolt. He is going to an art exhibit with Olly. If you have read the series like I have you know Olly from previous books. Marc ends up staring at one artist’s work like he feels he knows the person. Connor the artist in question reminds Marc at first of the man he loved and lost. But Connor is a light unto his own and will not be a stand-in for anyone. I like he is a ray of sunshine cause Marc really needs Connor in his gray world right now. Overall this story is one of the best of the series for me. Yes, there is insta love, but the deeper story itself is really beautifully done. I like a good story with a good arc, this story is that. It comes full circle and feels very complete when done. Theo’s story is up next, and I cannot wait for it. Noah Steele is an amazing author and I am glad I got to read this story.
This is a well written low angst insta love story between two beautiful characters that have copious amounts of chemistry that turns the heat level up to high. Marc is sweet but sad as he grieves for the loss of the love of his life. Connor is an artist who is playful, warm and magnetic and just wants to be seen for who he is, not just the successful artist. With the help of the characters from previous books, they work their way to a HEA, even after a hiccup or two along the way. I highly recommend this book and the previous books in the series.
This new installment is a great addition to the "Cut to the Feeling" - series. Noah Steele beautifully describes this insta-love story from Marc´s point of view. He is still dealing with the loss of his former boyfriend and the details are weighing heavily on him. The author doesn´t shy away from deep feelings. The tug and pull between the past, present and future is presented in an amazing way and goes straight to your heart. It is heartbreaking to see Marc´s struggle but in the same way heart warming to see how he - with the help of his friends and Connor´s love - heals and they find their HEA! I already am looking forward to the next book in the series!
4.5 stars... Oh I loved this I couldn't help but get tagged along with Connors bubbling personality and enthusiasm. A fantastic story of a Scottish man who maybe hides something sad but so does Marc. A fast love story with Marc telling his tale. Baggage and a ghost of past love causing problems and danger. I loved the Scottish Connor speaking coming through (yah I'm a sucker for accents LOL).
Marc attended an art showing with Oliver not knowing anything about the artist. When a painting captures him he can't look away. Connor is the artist visiting the university to speak at.
Wow! Noah Steele is brilliant creating amazing characters with emotions so deep that you can feel them while reading. Now in this book 3, (or 4 if you take into account Acts of Love), you’ll find the most intense and best story so far: Marc and Connor’s. The way the narration went along all the book had me in tears during great part of it, but also thinking about friendship, grief and love. Wonderful story!!! I can’t wait for Theo’s! I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
We first meet Marc when he has a horrible date with Aiden where he ends up walking out on him however Marc comes back only this time as an employee of Aiden. Going through all the hardships of moving on after a loss and finding love again was what this story was about. Connor brought love back to Marc's life for their happily ever after.
This was such an amazing, grab-you-by-the-feels, poignant, emotionally charged, sexy, charming, engaging, endearing, tug on the heartstrings, beautiful, amazing, delightful, and totally awesome story. It had me hooked from beginning to end, and I would definitely recommend getting this gem immediately.
So far, this is my favorite book of the series. It was great seeing how Marc was able to grow and learn how to deal with what happened in his past. I'm looking forward to the next book and seeing how Theo falls in love next.
I recieved an advanced copy and voluntarily gave my honest review.
this cover drew me in first ill admit.. soo sexy.. so sweet.. and they are adorable.. and then to top it off a scottish mc.. yes! lol. the emotions and personalities in this story were superb. i loved it
Visions of Love is love, heartbreak and forgiveness all wrapped into one. I laughed, I cried sad tears and cried happy tears. I’m just left breathless from this beautiful story. Marc and Connor were / are made for each other. 5 Stars!!!!
I read this last year (late reviewer, I'm terrible), but Noah has truly done it again.
Marc and Connor are meant to be together and their journey to make it work is beautiful. Noah's writing has only gotten better and I'm so excited for his next story!
So this is by far the best if the series. There is still a lot of insta love, a super fast timeline, and I still have no idea where this series takes place, it still kept my attention and made me feel Marc's heartache.
Marc and Connor meet unexpectedly and can’t seem to get enough of each other even as they try to take it slow. Marc is overcoming the demons from his past and Connor just wants to help in any way he can. These two were my absolute favorite couple.
A cute and cuddly instalove story with sweet characters :) I knew well what I was getting into with this series and this nook does not disappoint. Just very good!
The master of insta-love has done it again! Marc and Connor are perfect for each other. I loved Connor's quirky personality. He's exactly what Marc needs to enjoy life again.

It's really hard to write about my feelings, because I like the author and liked the previous books too. But... Instalove isn't my cup of tea. Sometimes I can read it and enjoy it if it isn't too insta. But in this case it was way too much for me.
The characters got into love too soon. Their feelings were too much this early on in their relationship. I liked Marc, I really liked him and waited for this book so much but this wasn't what I hoped for.
Noah writes really good and the feelings in his books are so deep, I feel all his characters, and I hurt for Marc, but it's too instalove for my tasting.
I don't want to underestimate this book, because as I said, it was really well written and the emotions were good. The characters's background were cool too and liked the connections. And LOVED that all the previous characters were there and helped them.
So don't get me wrong, this isn't a bad book, but this time it's too much for me. The previous two books were instalove too, but not this much.
I recommend this if you're into cute romances and instalove.
