MELTDOWN: Book Two in the Devolution Series: A Sam Jameson Conspiracy Thriller (Sam Jameson Espionage & Suspense 4) by Lars Emmerich is an intriguing suspense-filled thriller that is five stars, start to finish. It does have brutal events throughout but they are essential in moving the story forward.
Chaos reigns. Looters and gangs have taken over. Food and supplies are short or non-existent.

Meltdown is right! Sam Jameson is an amazing character. These stories are so intense yet so easy to follow. Love them!

Another cracking conspiracy thriller from Lars. Sam Jameson is a Superhero without a cape. Well worth reading.

I did not like this as the part 1 of the ebook was free and then you had to pay to read the outcome, or at least part 2. I felt this was deceptive.
The plot is pretty good, but developed very slowly. There is unnecessary and quite descriptive sex thrown in. The characters are fairly well developed. The bad guys are focused on more than the good guys so far. There is no particular ending to part 1.

Quite a plot. . .
And frightening if I let myself believe the author! This is written exceptionally well; well enough to make me uncomfortable with his description of the monetary system. I don't care for the gratuitous sex scenes, but the rest of the books is well thought out and written.
