Clearly not a very structured endeavour. Take it more like a collection of bits and pieces gathered from various sources by a man outrightly passionate about museums. Some snippets were nice, some discussions were mildly thought provoking (the debate on the most appropriate lighting), but the lack of coherence is explained in the first few pages of the book. Basically the author had little to work with so he mended things as best as he could. Probably with some more literary talent this could have been a passable book.
