The club comes before everything … even love.

When the past comes back to bite, it bites hard. And now everything is in chaos. I want the Iron Hunters to go legit, but right now we’re too focused on survival to clean up. And one wrong move will earn me a permanent new home … behind bars.

Slim’s the guy I need to keep me focused, grounded. He owns my heart, but with our world in upheaval we can’t let our club know what we are to one another. The longer we’re forced to keep this secret, the more I’m worried Slim will walk away. But with the FBI onto our every move, our relationship isn’t the only secret at risk.

If the Iron Hunters are going to survive we’ll have to figure out who is friend or foe, but what happens when the betrayal comes from inside the club?

This was much better than book 1. The plot, the fast pace, the mystery, the supporting cast of morally ambiguous characters. This book ramped up to some good tension and I found myself wrapped up in it all and wanting answers.

I'm going to paste the same review I wrote for book one, since they felt like one single book.

I liked the story enough, though it could have been executed better.
For example it felt too slow and fast at the same time, I wasn't consistently engaed with the characters as they seemed well done in some parts and less in others. Furthermore, there were situations and decisions that weren't entirely sensible, in my opinion. I thought "why would you do that!?"more than once. Also there were a few mistakes like a couple of wrong names for the POV.

Overall, not utterly bad but not very good either.

I found this listen really difficult to get into because I hadn't read or listened to book 1. There wasn't enough of a recap for me to fully get into what was going on with Slim and Ward and who actually knew about their secret relationship, who didn't, why it was secret, etc. I had no issues with the narration and enjoyed the completely different voices for each character.

Overall, the story was engaging and fast paced, I just had a hard time with this listen, but it's ME not the story!

J.P. And Sasha have created a suspense filled and thrilling world. Never a dull moment with the Iron Hunters Club, and poor Slim and Ward still don’t have an easy go of it.

The story itself is stirring and keeps the reader on the edge of their seat about what’s going to happen next and how will they get themselves out of this new crisis. The sexual chemistry between our two Main Dudes is spicy and delicious while at the same time they find ways to be sweet and tender. It’s a balance that works so well, and has the readers craving more!

The world of bike clubs, crews and thugs was extremely well written and expanded on. All the different elements were brought together and executed perfectly and gave us a realistic sense of life on the other side of the law.

The different characters all had so much depth and intrigue around them, leaving the reader questioning and second guessing motives and incentives the entire way through. The ending was shocking and definitely did not see it coming but in all the best ways! Of course their talent for leaving us on the cliffs edge craving the rest of the story is paramount and this reader is screaming for more!

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in the Iron Hunters MC series. This book continues with Slim and Rich being kidnapped and Ward trying to find them. Jerry has visited Ward and is trying to blackmail him into giving him control of the Iron Hunters with a video if Ward killing a dirty cop, who happened to be Jerry's brother. Ward is determined to find Slim and make sure his love will be okay. Slim and Ward still have to hide their feelings for one another. The danger is still there and they have to find a way to settle everything so they can make the MC's businesses legal and move on. I really like this series so far. I like Slim, i think he is a really good guy and he wants to be with Ward and protect him, but he also wants to be out and be accepted. Ward can't come out now because of the threat of going to prison and he knows it will affect his relationship with Slim. I can't wait for the next book.

I’m reviewing the audio edition. I love mc stories and I’m only a listener/reader. My opinion of this story is totally mine…I’m sure others are completely happy with it. This is a continuation from book 1 and ends in a cliffhanger. That is my first problem in that as of this story I didn’t see anywhere how many books there will be. Another problem I have is for a mc story the jail time completely missed the opportunity to be a jail scene. No big bad criminals. No major struggles nor harassment. And okay I’m with that this is a mm bff romance. But not really much romance. There is the struggle with coming out. There are a few issues with the club but then isn’t that a daily occurrence. It does contain plenty of cussing. A couple killings, a fire and a kidnapping. Overall the story is okay but I wish it had been stronger. The narrator, Eric Umstott, does an amazing job with this. He makes the characters realistic and the brings the emotion feel real.

The members of the Iron Hunters Motorcycle Club discover the attacks by Mountain Crow Motorcycle Club leader Jerry are retribution for something Ward did six years prior. Jerry of the Mountain Crow Motor Cycle Club has evidence against Ward and he agrees to keep things quiet provided Ward turns over the Iron Hunters Motor Cycle Club to him and leaves. They call his bluff and Jerry turn over his evidence to the authorities. Prospect Rich is suspected of being an FBI informant but they find agents leaving Prospect Blue's home. They are relieved it's not Prospect Rich but are heart-broken by the betrayal of the old-but-wonderful prospect who graciously welcomed members into his home when the clubhouse was set on fire. Ward and Slim go through changes as Slim is wanting to come out to the club but Ward is concerned about possible jail time and not wanting to enter prison as a gay man. The audiobook suitably narrated by Eric Umstott.

What a great start to the series. The authors did a good job of setting up the storyline and introducing the characters in it. The romantic aspect of it was more of a slow burn until the last third of the book. While these are not technically ‘good guys,’ they are likable. Ward, the chapter’s president, wants them to go legit, and he works hard to get everyone on board. Someone, though, is out to stop his club and his plans. This book ends in a cliffhanger, and cannot be read alone. It’s good enough, though, that you will want to know what happens next. I listened to the audiobook, and found the narrator does a good job portraying each character. This book is told in dual narration, so we get more of a broader viewpoint of the story.

This is a suspenseful, intriguing and dramatic story. Ward and Slim have been friends since they were kids, both growing up in the MC that Ward is now president of and Slim is VP. They have just discovered that they have romantic feelings about each other, but don't think that it's safe to come out, especially after Slim is kidnapped, and Ward is arrested. While they deal with those issues, and others, they try to find time to be together. It is a story that will capture your attention from the first page, and keep it until the last. Unfortunately it does end with a cliffhanger.

Ward is the leader of the Iron Hunters. Slim is his best friend and VP of the Cub. Slim is kidnapped along with a new prospect. Ward is determined to get them back. Ward and Slim have a secret relationship. How long is Slim willing to wait for Ward. What happens when Ward is arrested for killing a cop six years ago? Will Ward ever be ready to tell everyone that he loves Slim. Who is the person telling the FBI about the club?

First off let me say I got this as a review copy for an honest review. I have never read this author nor listened to the narrator before. Overall it was great to my own mistake, I SHOULD have read/listened to book 1 first. I felt so lost for the first half of this book because of it. This is a continuing story from book 1 and into book 3 (which is out in book but not audio at this time).

The story is great, the narration was great...i loved how they incorporated the phone calls. Well worth the listen/read!!!!!

Do these guys need acting lessons? Ward and Liam still trying to keep their relationship secret. Along with trying to go legit amongst greedy betrayal and disloyal partners. Why do some let ego overrule good business sense? Among all the drama, Ward gets arrested? What is the FBI doing? Do they catch the snitch? Can they go legit? Are the guys ready to go 'out'? Nice continuation. The club is still interesting. Nice to hear how old friends are doing The cliff hanging isn't bad . . . I received an ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Two men that shouldn’t fall in love do and then all hell breaks loose in this action packed MC m/m romance. This is the second book in this series and not the last so you will have to wait for one more book to get out happy ending. And the cliffhanger is not one you will soon forget. I can’t wait for the final book in this series.

The Romantic Suspense Keeps Building!

Since the second books starts off where the first one ended...you'll definitely need to read these in sequence. Kidnappings, threats, murder, love, the appearance of law enforcement, lies...all compound the mystery from the first book. Tensions racket up as bodies pile up, suspicions increase as loyalties are tested and alliances are formed between unexpected parties.

An interesting 2nd book in a delightful series. The book revolves around a Motorcycle Club that runs illegal cigarettes across the country but want to go legit.

Obstacles get in the way that involve romance and legal matters, all of which prevent the club from dropping running illegal cigarettes and for the President and GO to be true to who they are.

There were some hurdles that slowed the rhythm of the story, however I still believe it is a great book.

Great continuation of this series! Slim & Wade are a great couple but find it hard to have time alone with all of the stuff coming at them from all angles right now. There’s lots of drama, action, unknowns, and love all throughout this second installment in this series. You will love this page turner & I highly recommend it as well as reading book 1 first! I can’t wait to find out what happens in book 3!!

Frustrating

I really wanted to give book 2 a higher rating; but I couldn’t. Still too much club business and not enough romance. This one had some steam, but the reason why I can’t give it a 4 rating is because this has got to be the dumbest MC Club ever (and read hundreds). All they make is stupid decisions…sorry they are not very bright. I don’t know how they are an outlaw MC and they are not all in jail. I bought all three books, so starting book 4.

Enjoyable read

I found this book to be very enjoyable I picked it up as an ARC not realizing it was a book 2 but I was still able to get into the story and underwear what was happening. That ending was a cliffhanger curious to see where the next book goes.

Trying to survive getting the club clean and legit, and getting around blackmailers and undercover dudes turns out to be a bigger challenge than expected.

If these folks can survive everyone who wants them in hot water, their lives might be more mundane, but will likely never be boring

This is a fairly standard bad-boy MC tale featuring two closeted gay MCs. I found this story okay, but not great. Stock characters are used. There is a low-level of steam, with more emphasis placed on the plot than is usual in romantic suspense. The story ends with a cliffhanger, so you'll want to have the third volume on hand if you read this one. So, this was a fun read, but nothing special.

Matt and Slim are together now but the club doesn't know. Trouble keeps following them no matter what they do and things seem to get worse. Someone is blackmailing Wade to give up being president of the MC Club. This ends with a cliffhanger. I really enjoyed this book.

Love this series!

This is the best MM MC series I’ve read so far. Balanced action and romance to keep me interested and on the edge of my seat. I’m diving right into the next book. That cliffhanger!
