For someone who’s fairly picky when it comes to good fantasy novels, Secrets of Tanoria did a great job of pulling me into its unique world and keeping me immersed throughout. Nothing beats a strong female protagonist as well, in the likes of Aria, the crystal-sword wielding warrior. And she’s accompanied debatably by an even stronger supporting cast. What truly sets this novel apart from others however is the world of Tanoria. Everything from the magic that surrounds it, the rules that govern it, to the ancient lore and history that makes up this rather vast and expansive world. The story itself kept me guessing as to what was to unfold next. As the title suggests, the world of Tanoria is full of secrets and is not what it seems. It was immensely pleasurable accompanying Aria and her companions throughout their journey that by the end, I was heartbroken to find out that I would have to wait for a sequel to read more.
