A very odd little book. Mr and Mrs Twistangle ""lived in a little wooden house that crouched at the very edge of the street"". But they don't live very happily. Mr Twistangle has some anger issue, and his wife is meek and cowers in his presence. Mrs Twistangle find a little blue parcel ""just begging to be opened"", but then she doesn't open it for years. One day Stretch the paper boy finds the parcel after it seems to have run away from Mr Twistangle's fury. Things do work out a bit too easily in the end, and I can't say that I understand what the little blue parcel represnts. Intriguing to ponder though. Not sure what kids would make of it. Great illustrations in black and white, with the only colour being the little blue parcel.

I have no idea what this book is about. It's obviously trying to say something very deep but I'm clueless about what it is. Perhaps don't wait around for things in life - make use of all the blessings you have right now. And don't be envious of other people's stuff. Or something... I guess it can be a good conversation starter with your child.

And after speaking it over with my kids, we also thought maybe the parcel is a metaphor for a child...
