The fifth edition of the introduction to intellectual property law, and particularly patent and copyright law, provides basic materials and understanding of the intellectual property law systems of other countries, especially European countries, and some comparison with US intellectual property law. Material has been updated to reflect legislation resulting from harmonization efforts and recent decisions of the Supreme Court of the US and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. The section on trade secrets has been updated in light of the adoption of the State Uniform Trade Secrets Act and recent court decisions based on it. The book is useful for teachers, students, judges, and practitioners. Francis teaches law at the University of Detroit. There is no subject index. Annotation c.
