Being Radha: Beyond Her Love and His Leela

Rate this book
Was being Krishna’s love the only truth of Radha's existence? She was the balsakhi, who played with God. She would sing and dance with him, get torn by jealousy, fight with him and then make up passionately. The love of Radha-Krishna was immortal, yet they parted ways. Was theirs just another love story or was it about the devotee and the divine? Being Radha, beyond her love & his Leela is a contemporary rendition of the tale of a timeless Radha who is worshipped in temples but seldom understood. This is her voice, her story.

What can I say about this wonderful wonderful book?

I lived through it, going with the Radha the author writes, traveling Her journey to and with Her Kanha.

Written in simple and elegant words, Tripti has woven the entire story with the magical emotions of love, pain, separation and loss, bringing together tales of Radha that are widespread across the world, scattered.

It talks of Ayan, but it talks more of how RadhaKrishna are One, not two. Even in the mention of Ayan, it is Krishna who Radha talks of, it Is Him and She, always They as We, as One. She talks of Her thoughts, Her wishes, mentions life's battles- it all comes together, melded into a beautiful story.

Radhe Radhe!

A MUST READ, for lovers of Hindu stories, for lovers in general!

Being Radha: Beyond Her Love and His Leela offers a fresh take on the story of Radha and Krishna, focusing not just on their romance but also on Radha’s personal journey. The book explores her inner strength, spirituality, and self-realization, showing her as more than just a lover. The author’s insightful analysis takes the reader beyond the traditional narrative, shedding light on Radha’s individuality and her journey of self-realization.
The writing is beautiful, with deep insights into divine love, sacrifice, and devotion. It reimagines Radha’s role, highlighting her as a symbol of the search for unity with the divine. Overall, it’s a must read.

In Hindu mythology, Radha and Krishna's love is regarded as the highest form of divine love and bliss. @triptisharan 's Being Radha is the contemporary rendition of the tale of Radha, the supreme devotee of Krishna♥️ Each poem displays Radha's love, longing for Krishna and her attempts to come to terms with her reality😍 Some verses in the book are metaphorical and gives the reader a freedom of interpretation. You can either read it as an eternal love story or as the union of devotion with divinity✨
Have a lovely reading ✨

𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 - "𝗕𝗘𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗛𝗔" 𝗯𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻

"𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲,
𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗻𝗮"

What is love? Love is eternal and lives forever in the hearts of 2 people: A pair of Radha-Krishna. For me, Radha-Krishna is the very definition of love. A love story of a Cowherd’s daughter and a prince. A love story of a God and his supreme devotee. I always wanted to read a book about the life of Radha, and I picked the perfect book. The author Tripti Sharan has beautifully captured the untold tale of Radha in her poetic words.

"𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲
𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗜 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲, 𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗻𝗮"

The author has done a great deal of research for writing this book as she has captured the perfect timeline of Radha’s life. Moreover, putting the entire story into verses has increased its magic manifolds and also, makes it a quick and an interesting read. From being born to being one with Krishna, Radha’s story is so realistic and yet so divine at the same time.

"𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝘀
𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗲, 𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗻𝗮"

Moreover, the author has touched some very important moments of a woman’s life through the character of Radha, which makes the book more relatable. From playing freely with her sakhis to getting married and shouldering the responsibilities of a household, the author has portrayed the life and problems of a woman very nicely.

"𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗯𝘆𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀
𝗔 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗻𝗮"

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I completed in around an hour, and I regret the same now as I want to read more and more about barsana’s laadli - Radha. I will highly recommend this book to all those who believe in love or the eternal bond of Radha-Krishna for the god put her before himself.
