Meeting Comics is delightful. I wrote and drew it, and did most of the design and layout, so I am confident of my expertise in regard to this book.

When I started drawing these comics, I didn't know what I was getting into. The first few were scribbled on lunch breaks immediately after meetings, as a direct reaction to having been in a meeting. Then I started thinking about jokes I could draw, making plans to draw these things instead of just reacting to something. Then I started bringing actual art tools with me to work so I wouldn't have to rely on whatever crummy ballpoint pen or sharpie I had in my pocket when I got to lunch. Then the characters I had been drawing strictly as vehicles for these jokes began to reveal their personalities to me, and the jokes gradually became more and more about the characters and less and less about work.

I think they get better as they go, but there's definitely a raw charm to the first few.

I've been collecting these comics in self-published minicomic format. This book, published by boutique publishing juggernaut Adhouse Books, collects the first six issues, which is enough to really show you both where the comic started and what it has become. Hopefully we'll sell enough of this thing that there will be more volumes, because the ones that come after this are good too!

In conclusion, please purchase multiple copies of this book.

Who needs to have an office job when you can experience all the joys and sorrows of such, including insufferable HR bots, your coworker's ska band, and your boss's stint on a Vietnam War/killer robot themed TV show by reading Meeting Comics?
