This book is a quick but impactful read! God is always with us, but in the midst of life's trials and tribulations it can feel as if God isn't. Laine encourages readers to come to the understanding there is no magic recipe for getting to the other side of difficulties or disappointments, but through self examination and authentically digging deeper into what one can and can't control will lead to a fulfilling life and stronger relationship with God and the Church. Through Laine lacing each chapter with scripture, real life stories and practical tips for one to personally implement, her book is a 'how to guide' to enjoying today and owning tomorrow. This collection of stories and Laine's "I've been there too" authenticity leaves readers with hope and the reminder of the abounding grace we are afforded from God, empowering each of us to become the best version of ourselves.

This book is a great read. Each chapter is backed by scripture and personal testimonies to bring the point home. I especially liked the chapters on generosity and guide for praying. One thing I would suggest to anyone wanting to read the book is: have a notebook handy to record your answers to the reflections at the end of each chapter as you read through the book take the opportunity to go back to past chapters and redo the reflections to see the impact putting the book into action has made. I would certainly recommend this book to both new and seasoned Christians. Look forward to,adding more books from this author to my library

This book is all about healing and moving forward in your life. There are several women who tell their story, Laine shares her personal struggles and things she has overcome. My favorite part of the book was the details she shared on the various ways to pray. For me, I have used several of the ways she shared and it is just refreshing. Great book and a lovely Christian lady is the author. I'm very blessed to have her in my life and you will find something in this book that will resonate with you too.

The purpose of this book is found in this one statement, “The first challenge is to set our minds toward believing we can enjoy today and own tomorrow, better yet own happiness everyday.” We have to prioritize areas in “our” (making this personal) lives that are meaningful and important to “us.” Not anyone else. This has to be a personal and freeing choice to do. It is no more of watching others success and happiness and dismiss we don’t have the right to that ourselves. No, we must believe we are with in God’s will and right through Jesus Christ that we can and should go after it. Mistakes and failures are only a hindrance to what blissful life we have been so freely given to enjoy everyday if we choose to desire it and believe we can have it to own and enjoy every day! Let’s make the days count going after the opportunities given in a day to make that difference and enjoy today and own our own tomorrow with joy!

This book is "for such a time as this"! Our world is in desperate need of authentic healing and this book directs the way to finding that relief. Laine refers to hard seasons as "meantime" seasons. That perfectly describes the season we are in right now. The good news is that God loves us, sees us, heals and saves us.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The end of the chapter includes questions to truly reflect and put the things learned in each chapter to use. I really enjoyed this book. It encouraged me to pray more and turn to God even during difficult times. I have a bad habit of trying to be in control of everything. Laine has a tremendous gift for taking you through a series of steps to guide you to not just gain an understanding of how you have come to the place you are but how to truly pull from the strength of God to work through and come out healed in the end! In this you are able to first understand how to see the hurt that has been inflicted onto you by another person. You begin to recognize it for what it is, a tool Satan is using to separate you from the love of God. Then she guides you step by step in a process of turning that hurt over into God's hands and letting His blessings and peace infiltrate every part of yourself. This is a process and it's not always easy to work through. But please know that God wants NOTHING more than to have a closeness with you that has no barriers that steal your joy! Laine will lead you through this journey in such a tangible way that you really can do. God loves you and longs for you to have this healing more than anything you could possibly imagine!

Hope filled, grace filled, tactical. I align with the type A approach to breaking it down and identifying tactical ways to move toward a better understanding of how God meets us in our grief and hurt. There is no magic sauce for getting to the other side of hard life disappointments, but this book provides self examination tools and desires to encourage the reader to dig deeper, look harder into what you can control and can’t. Filled with her own insight and stories from others in all walks of life encouragement to seek God first and lean into prayer life is apparent.
A collection of stories and filled with hope and desire to illustrate our collective human-ness and the grace we are afforded from God that we can lean into as we become the best version of ourselves.

The title says it all. Enjoy today, Own Tomorrow. I have often done just the opposite. As the mother of a son who struggles with addiction and mental health issues, I have had those times when I merely tolerated today and dreaded tomorrow because I felt I had no ability to change anything. Laine’s book offers not only hope, but also practical advice and application by offering power building phrase cards to mediate on and stomp out negative self-talk, thought-provoking self-reflection questions, and suggestions for practical application of the Word of God in our circumstances. I highly recommend Enjoy Today, Own Tomorrow to anyone who is ready to live a life of joy today and owning their tomorrow’s.
