As a 1st grade teacher, Debbie Diller's book "Literacy Work Stations: Making Centers Work" was my go to resource for setting up my literacy centers. Through this phenomenal resource, I was able to plan effective activities, set expectations, and create an easy-to-follow rotation schedule.

Thank you to @corwin_press for sending me her updated versions of this book! Now I'm able to share these valuable resources with our classroom teachers as I help them set up their literacy stations.

In this updated series, Debbie Diller has created separate books for various literacy stations such as writing, independent reading, partner reading, poetry, and word study. Just like her previous book, these are all filled with valuable tips and resources! Within the book, teachers are provided planning tools, lesson plans, and printables.

She has a tremendous ability at breaking things down into manageable steps and essentially holding teachers' hands to help them get started. She provides suggestions and resources for setting up the stations, examples of anchor charts to use, and specific activities students can complete. Not only that but she also answers frequently asked questions and gives troubleshooting tips to ensure your success!
