About the author

Mandy Michelle is a contemporary romance author who lives in Southern Alberta, Canada, only a short drive from the mountains where she finds inspiration. Her first novel, Ready to Burn (Scarsdale Publishing) was released in 2020 and her short story Wrong Address was published in Sinners MC: A Motorcycle Club Anthology (Limitless Publishing) in 2020. Lust on the Rebound (Scarsdale Publishing) was released in 2023 and is available now. The Love in Evergreen Lane Series is her first foray into indie publishing. She holds her BA in History and Religious Studies and her MA in Ancient History. Mandy also studied with Winghill Writing School, has been a member of her local writing club, for over thirteen years, and has successfully completed National Novel Writing Month ten years. Besides writing and reading, she loves dogs, woodcarving, and Instagram.

Alison is a single mom and waitress. The fire fighters are having a charity event for the Children's Hospital in the bar she works at. Ronan is Mr. July in the Calendar and he is very interested in Alison/ He gets a chance when she wins a kiss from him. However she isn't easily convinced to go out with him even if she's attracted to him. Alison has been burned before and now with her daughter she wants to be more careful when it comes to any man she lets into her life. Can Ronan show her that he is different than any other men she's known? Will she give him a chance at her heart?

This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This was a good read about a single mother and a firefighter. Alison was scared to commit to Ronan because of her past failures with men. Ronan knew she was the one for him and was determined to make her see that.

Alison is a hard working waitress and single mom and the last thing she needs or wants is a man. Ronan is a firefighter and Mr. July in the fire fighter calender. The fire fighters are having a charity benefit for a children's hospital on New Year's Eve at the bar where Alison works and all proceeds go to the hospital. When Alison unknowing to her wins a kiss from Mr. July at midnight. He is really interested but she is trying her best to keep him at arms length. Meanwhile there is an arsonist running loose setting fires. This is a great story and look forward to more from this author.

Ready To Burn is a contemporary romantic suspense by Mandy Michelle. Ms. Michelle has provided readers with a well-written book populated with an outstanding cast of characters. Ronan is a firefighter. He suspects a few of the fires they've had recently are arson. Alison is a waitress at the bar hosting the firefighter calendar reveal. Alison and Ronan's story is loaded with drama, laugh out loud humor, sizzle not only from the fires, action and suspense. I believe this is my first book by Mandy Michelle. I liked it and hope to read more from her in the future. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Wonderful new author

I first read my work on an anthologies with Evan grace, loved it so much looked her up and found this please read. Both characters are great I wish it was longer and would love it to become a series

I finished this book in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down! Alison is a hardworking single mom. She’s working the pub as a waitress on the night of a firefighter charity night. Ronan is a sweet but confident guy. It’s love at first sight the moment he lays eyes on Alison. Their chemistry is undeniable. This was definitely a steamy read, but if that’s not your thing you can totally skip those parts. There was also the element of suspense due to a series of arson attacks that seemed to target the firefighter crew. All in all, a great quick read. Definitely got me out of my reading slump. I can’t wait to read more from this author!

Ready to Burn is the first book I have read by Mandy Michelle and I truly enjoyed this story. I believe a story is only as powerful as its characters and Ronan and Alison leap from the page. I love stories where the hero and heroine are immediately drawn to each other, but have to overcome their own fears in addition to external obstacles. If you enjoy romances that are sizzling and heartfelt, I highly recommend this book. I'm looking forward to #2!

This was an awesome book that I really enjoyed. The story and characters grabbed me from the beginning and I couldn't stop reading. I loved the characters and watching them grow together, they were well written and went well together. I found this book amazing with great word building making me feel apart of the story and watching it unfold in front of me. A definite must read for any fan and I can't wait to read more from this author!!!

Loved this book with Ronan the firefighter calendar Mr. July who is single and not looking until he sees Alison. She is a hardworking single mom at the bar where they are having a big New Years Eve party to raise money for the childrens hospital. One look was all it took for him to fall for the spunky waitress and even though she tries to turn him down he is just too hard to resist. Loved how she worked so hard to take care of her little girl and he never gave up on her. Story has romance and suspense all rolled into this wonderful intriguing story.

I love Ronan and Alison's story. It's well written and nicely developed story that just sucks you in and holds you captive until the very end. The characters are strong and very likable. Ronan has agreed to be one of the firefighters and Mr. July in a charity calendar. Alison is a single mother that thinks all men are after is one thing. The night of the "Rapid Falls Firefighters Charity Calendar" big reveal being held at the bar she works in they meet and it is instant attraction. Will she overcome her fears and go out with him? Will they take a chance on forever?

Rogan is a firefighter on a quest to raise funds for the children's hospital. Ali is the waitress at the fundraising event, a sassy and spirited young mother.

Their initial meeting is one that almost ruins any chance of a connection, when Rogan sweetly apologizes for his gaffe and asks for another chance to get to know Ali.

Both are interested, but being a single mom plays a huge part of her life, and she is not sure that getting involved with Rogan is wise. Really enjoyed the story.

The strength in this book is the characters. Ronan is strong and loyal and sweet and wholy hotness. I like Allison and she is s strong character as well. The story they build and tell together is a good one, a strong one. It is easy to see why Allison has a hard time believing that Ronan is trust worthy and worthy of her trust.

I haven’t typically read this genre so had no expectations coming into this book. I very much enjoyed this book. The story kept moving, the details made it interesting, the characters were developed nicely so I felt like I knew them, and the storyline was fun with some action thrown in. I learned a lot about firefighting, too. A fun, easy read makes this a great book for when you are busy, on holidays, or just need a story that takes your mind away from real life. Well written and enjoyable :)

The title was so spot on. The author put two passionate characters on the page and then slowly turned up the heat. The tension between the lead characters was evident at the start but they didn't jump to it. No the author did a fantastic job of working that tension and building it until that perfect moment. The fears and doubts on both sides were projected into the tangle of hope and love and passion and family. Well done. Id read more by this author

I just loved this! I couldn't put it down once I got started. Ronan was such a fantastic character... He was so hot and so sweet. He was incredibly patient with Alison and it was hard not to love him. The side characters in this were just as great. I can't wait for more from this author.

I loved Ronan! Such a gent that won't afraid to go after what he wanted and take it, no spoilers here though, you guys will have to read to find out if Ali let him break down her walls..??
And btw loved that Ali's daughter had one of my favorite names, Emmy!
